Hi, I’m Denise Taylor and I’ve been helping people find their ideal careers and gain greater satisfaction at work for more than 20 years. I see this work as my vocation: I’m done other things but always returned to this.
Over 10 years ago I’d reached Assistant Director for the Post Office and then realised I’d climbed up the wrong ladder! I’m a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. I'm also a registered Career Guidance Practitioner. My specialism is in career development and I’ve published extensively in this area.
My specialist knowledge is backed up with coaching and counselling qualifications and masters degrees in occupational psychology and business administration (MBA). I’m the principal of Amazing People, (Established 1998), and I work with individuals to help them understand themselves, what they seek and thus find career satisfaction.
Amazing People also supports organisations to help their employees manage their careers and thus achieve personal satisfaction and business success. My work utilises coaching, counselling, guidance and expert advice as appropriate and I’ll use assessments when they will aid client understanding. I’m very effective at helping clients get a new job, and about 20% of my clients get work via the “unadvertised market”, contacting companies direct. This works because they know themselves well, what they have to offer and can present themselves well at interview. I’ve previously worked with three of the largest outplacement companies in the UK, including one where I was only paid on results. Alongside this work I’m also used by companies as an assessment expert, training interviewers and assessors, designing assessment centres and helping companies such as The Civil Service, Vodafone and Rugby Cement recruit for graduate schemes and professional staff.
