Basically from the time she turned 14, Denise went off the deep end, as many
teenagers do. She was raised in church, but rebellion somehow became her goal in life at that age. She rebelled in almost every way possible!
Even
though she made decisions to change her life as an adult, the guilt that she carried from those crazy years stayed with her. She could not shake it and
could not live with it. She had heard from many preachers that she was
forgiven, but did not feel it; did not believe it. She did not
believe it, because she also heard from many preachers that she was a
sinner...was going to hell...God was out to get her...
Denise did
not have a good marriage and could not find her way out of it. (Not advertising divorce, advertising the option of letting God choose your spouse to begin with.) She had made
bad decisions, and was living with the results. She had fallen and
could not get up! Denise was depressed, and on the verge of suicide.
In
her late thirties, God simply HEALED her. He spoke, lifted the
guilt from her shoulders and began the process of redemption. She was not
attending church at the time and did not pray to Him at all really. He
just stepped in when she was at her lowest point and HEALED her.
Denise has learned that God's children are not supposed to carry their guilt,
and that guilt is a debilitating disease. She discovered that
Jesus was a lot nicer than some preachers make Him out to be!
The Life
Cycle tells how He taught her those lessons. Denise is convinced that healing
is for all of God's children and her goal in life now, is to share that
good news with others.
Giving up the self is the best self help. (Joh 12:24-26 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.)
I THINK our THOUGHTs will bind us for life if we let them. Read more and rise above.
We have a choice, we can go it alone, or we can believe. The benefits of fully believing go far beyond our imagination. (Joh 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.) Imagine God the Father TRULY living within you!
