With nearly two decades of experience Denise has a great deal of expertise in personal, community and economic development coaching and consulting. She is the owner of Epiphany Planning & Development, LLC, consulting and coaching nonprofits, business and government in community and economic planning and development. In addition she is also a licensed consultant for the Standards of Excellence Institute.
Denise has worked with all sizes of organizations, utilities and businesses, from small Chambers of Commerce, statewide organizations such as Virginia Network of Nonprofit Organizations to companies such as Campbell's Soup, in both rural and urban environments. She has worked with Governors, written U.S. Senate Sub-Committee testimony on nano-technology’s impact on economic development and been involved in a wide range of pro-active activities including winning a Downtown Virginia award for Main Street focused community development.
Denise’s practical experience is augmented by her formal education. She has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and ongoing education in holistic and practical coaching and growth components and techniques. Her education and experience have empowered her to work in California, Florida, the Midwest and Virginia, as well as create curriculum and teach courses including grant writing, nonprofit leadership, social media and international business. Denise has been on regional economic development boards, workforce development boards, participated as a member in VEDA, OEDA, IEDC, etc
