About the AuthorDave Meholovitch grew up in the coal mining country in the Ohio Valley. His father worked and retired from the coalmines after 40 years. To escape having to go into the coalmines, like most of his relatives, Dave joined the service and distinguished himself early as a leader in the U.S. Army Airborne. After an honorable discharge he traveled and stayed in Oregon where he met his wife of 43 years and together raised their three children. In 1968, at the young age of 28, Dave became manager of his first radio station. He spent 20 years in the broadcast industry; managing radio stations, consulting with radio and television stations, training nationally with radio and television stations and having ownership in a radio station. Dave served as international fundraiser for Northwest Medical Teams, an international medical relief organization, helping to raise millions of dollars for famine relief for Ethiopia “We are the world” 1985.
