I am a dreamworker, author, webmaster, digital artist, and poet. In November 2010, I joined the faculty of Atlantic University in Virginia Beach, VA, as a teaching fellow-at-large, where I am in the process of developing a course on dreams with Dr. Robert Van de Castle, which we will be teaching together.
I first became interested in dreams over 20 years ago, when I realized that two recurring dreams were trying to tell me something, I began reading everything I could find on dreams, symbols, archetypes, etc. I started keeping a journal, remembering more dreams and learning more about myself – most importantly, why I am who I am.
Today, I am more open and honest with myself and everyone I deal with, more connected to Spirit, artistically creative and happier than I have ever been. I attribute all of this to working with my dreams. Dreamwork is a passion, as is my desire to share what I’ve learned with others, hoping they might benefit from their dream life, as I have from mine.
In 2001, I started my own website, Notes From a Dreamer … on Dreaming. Since its inception, it has received an average of 100,000 page views per year. It became apparent early on that many people are curious enough about at least one dream to seek out information. By 2004, I thought maybe they needed more than a website and the idea of a book began to form.
In 2004, I was invited to be a community leader (“cl”) on women.com’s Dream Interpretation discussion forum, where for two years, I encouraged others to share their dreams and offered tips and techniques to remember and interpret them.
In September 2008, I “met” Bob Van de Castle at the International Association for the Study of Dreams (“IASD”) online PsiberDreaming Conference. Within a few weeks, I moved from New Jersey to Charlottesville, VA to live and work with him. With his loving support and encouragement, I completed writing my book, Notes From a Dreamer … on Dreaming: A Personal Journey in Dream Interpretation, which I published in April 2010. As a member of IASD since 2003, I’ve attended five online PsiberDreaming conferences and presented a workshop on Dream Journaling at the October 2010 conference.
Since Bob Van de Castle and I have been together, we have co-authored several articles including, Dreams As a Multidimensional Expression of PSI, with fellow IASD member, Rita Dwyer. It was published in the July 2010 issue of Explore!: The Journal of Science and Healing. Other co-authored articles have been published in IASD’s journal, DreamTime, and we have given several PowerPoint presentations together.
The dreamer is the only "dream expert" qualified to interpret their dreams.
"Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakens." — Carl Jung
"Armed with our dreams, we have a weapon that can turn this society upside down by turning our lives around. The greatest battles waged throughout history have been within the souls of a few brave men and women. To work with dreams in the deepest sense is to be a leader in the revolution of human consciousness." -- Bill Stimson
