MightyMorsels.com is the product of my experience over the last five years as the orchestrator of our family’s nutritional 180 degree turn around. We started this journey as many do. We were in a health crisis as we discovered our twins were suffering from numerous medical challenges ranging from sensory processing disorders (including auditory and visual processing difficulties) to anxiety, extreme digestive discomfort, acid reflux, stomach aches, and frequent infections. As I became increasingly frustrated with the traditional medical pharmaceutical approach, I began looking for alternative solutions. The alternative that appeared time and again was the need to change our diet.
As the leader of our family’s nutritional turn around, I set goals and developed a strategy for making our nutritional changes. The first thing I did was search for information to help me make the transition as simple as possible because I knew I needed help if I was going to make this change part of my already busy life balancing being the mother of two active elementary school children, the wife of a spouse who travels weekly and my legal career.
While I easily found copious amounts of information in books, articles and websites explaining the health benefits of a whole foods based diet, practical information and assistance on how to actually implement such a change for my family was conspicuously unavailable. In hindsight, I guess this should not have surprised me so much because, let’s face it, if there was one easy way to convince a kid that broccoli tastes better than a fast food kid’s meal, fast food restaurants would be out of business. Anyway, I decided right then and there to keep track of what I did, the mistakes I made, things that work, and things that didn’t work so I could share this real-life learning experience and hopefully help other regular, every day families like ours successfully change the way they eat.
As for our family, we have discovered first-hand the many benefits of whole food nutrition.
We have seen sensory processing disorders nearly disappear, infections and illness became the exception rather than the rule, and acid reflux and digestive difficulties have vanished. I began sleeping soundly for the first time in my life and I dropped 20 pounds without ever officially “dieting”.
While I recognize that diet changes and the benefits of diet changes are a marathon, not a sprint and will be different for every family, I also know that you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by making the change, one morsel at a time.

From experience with my family, I know that implementing and maintaining a diet based in whole foods can sometimes be overwhelming. Without regular support, resources and fresh meal and snack ideas to keep you on the road to better eating, it can be easy to fall into old patterns of meals and snacks consisting of fast and highly processed food. In fact, when I first started changing my family’s diet, I looked for this type of support, but I couldn’t find it. That’s why I created Mighty Morsels–to give regular, every day families like my own, the support and resources they need to create, implement and sustain a healthier, life-long diet. With that in mind, MightyMorsels offers a variety of services that give you the freedom to choose the level of support that best fits your needs.
