Mari knew the handwriting was on the wall at her job in a legal firm when seven of her colleagues were dismissed in one day due to down-sizing. A divorced mother of two, she states that this was one event she never saw coming, and was so surprised by the situation that she flew into "panic mode," momentarily forgetting all the universal truths she had learned since childhood. Relieved at the end of the day that her job had been spared, she nevertheless prayed and meditated diligently for several months on where her talents and destiny lie.
Her background of over twelve years as a mentor and counselor, and now coach to abused and molested women and her "cheerleading" mindset led to her decision to attend IPEC, one of the nation's premier life-coaching schools, where she completed the courses as a Certified Professional Coach and Energy Leadership Index-Master Practitioner. Upon certification, she began coaching women on life changing relationships. Not satisfied with two certifications, Mari enrolled in Relationship Coaching Institute, the country's oldest and most distinguished relationship coaching school, to "define and hone her craft." "I'm not stopping until I'm the Oprah of Relationships," she states. "If I can help one woman avoid the zillions of mistakes I made in my marriage and relationships, I'll die happy."
Needless to say, Mari is a leading champion of women's total growth and enlightenment, and leads the way in helping women develop positive consciousness and self-awareness, while discerning and recognizing relationship challenges and pitfalls.
In addition to her passion for coaching, Mari's nature has always drawn her to spirituality, conscious decision-making (the ability to think from A to Z instead of A to B) and speaking and writing on the gift of manifestation. A student of Biblical and spiritual thought since "forever," she deeply believes in the Divine's amazing love for mankind, quantum consciousness and the timelessness of Universal truths and teaches them to anyone who will listen.
Mari is a columnist for the D.C. area examiner.com, and comments on relationships, spirituality and abundance. Her articles also appear in Pathjoy.com and Task.fm. "I'm finally home," she states, "doing was I was created to do, speaking my truths."
Mari Lyles used to be Beatrice Stanback but had a legal name change in March of 2010. "New year, new me," she stated.
Relationships are journeys the soul takes in its efforts to remember its worthiness, and remind itself of who it really is.
The search for wisdom begins with the understanding that everyone else is as wise as you think you are.
I AM is the definitive definition of your spirit. It knows nothing other than I AM. And all that you call it, it will become.
