Barbara Leuin, Ph.D. has been involved in business education since 1983 when she began teaching business and economics at St. John’s University/College of St. Benedict in Minnesota. She quickly became involved in experiential education. From 1988-90 she taught in the UNC system where she was much in demand as a workshop facilitator.
Barbara also earned a Certificate in Consultation from the Middle Atlantic Training Center.
In 1993, Barbara left higher education and after a 2-year segue working with a personal growth seminar company (SAGE Seminars) and in 1995, she started her own business to write business plans for start-up ventures. Since 1995, Barbara has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs, writing business plans and has also raised millions in first-round capital.
In 1997-98 Barbara was an instructor for CEO Space (formerly IBI) in business planning. In 2001, She authored, “Planning With A Heart,”a right-brained, intuitive apporach to business planning.
Barbara has taught thousands of business owners through the CEO Space forum, her own programs, and other platforms, including SCORE.
Her company, Creative Money MAGIK, Inc. currently offers business planning services, business coaching and various live classes for entrepreneurs.
Barbara earned her Ph.D. in natural resource economics from the University of New Mexico in 1979. From 1978-1982 she worked for a major electric utility as the head of energy demand forecasting. From this experience she developed interactive modeling techniques and the ability to translate sophisticated forecasts into simple presentations.
