Ashleigh has a doctorate degree in metaphysical counselling. Her concentration was yoga therapy & philosophy and during her studies she researched the affects of stimulant drugs, and the use of yoga as a natural healing therapy for treating children with Attention Deficit Disorders. To continue with her work, she has recently been involved in teaching a regular yoga class to the Kindergarten group at the local elementary school her 2 young children attend.
Ashleigh has practiced meditation & yoga for over 18 years, and has been teaching for over 10. She has completed several different yoga teacher training programs to support her work. Ashleigh is also a member of the Canadian Yoga Alliance, and the International Metaphysical Ministry.
As a compliment to her work as a yoga teacher & therapist she formally studied several different holistic therapies at NHC Institute in Montreal such as spiritual psychotherapy, holistic biochemistry, foot & hand reflexology and reconnective healing, as well as Thai yoga massage at the 'Lotus Palm School of Thai Massage'.
Aside from her therapeutic work, Ashleigh ran her own registered home daycare during the years prior to her own children attending school. She is a certified in Infant & Child First Aid & CPR and studied 'Fundamentals of Family Childcare', 'Introduction to Science & Physical Education for Family Chilcare' and 'Nutrition Basics for Family Childcare'. She currently runs a community programe in the local after scool club called 'Creative Kids Kitchen' where she teaches creative baking with healthy twist to kids between ages 6 to 10.
