  Dr. Andrew J. Dobo is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Sebastian, Florida at the Collaborative Counseling Center. Dr. Dobo’s trauma training is extensive.  Initially, he was trained by Dr. Richard Elmore, Jr., Associate Professor at Florida Tech in 1999.  His doctoral research addressed marital satisfaction among Vietnam Veteran couples.  Dr. Dobo utilizes EMDR with with individuals and with couples.  EMDR usually reduces the negative emotion with an individual or between couples quickly and painlessly.  Once this is done the psychological work usually proceeds smoothly and successfully.  Dr. Dobo counsels clients of all ages and treats most disorders specializing in the use of EMDR, hypnosis, and marital therapy.  He is a member of the Medical Staff at Indian River Memorial Hospital. 

Dr. Dobo is a member of EMDRIA the international EMDR association and is a certified EMDR therapist, he is also an Approved Consultant in Training.  Dr Dobo is a certified clinical hypnotherapist and a member Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis.  

Additionally, he is a parenting expert offering parenting lectures throughout the year in his practice and in the community.  He is the author of numerous articles, some of which can be found on his website.  He is beginning work on his first book titled, Unburdening Souls: A Priviledged Way to Spend a Day.  He has secured literary representation for this effort and hopes to have it finished by early 2009.
