Why should Internet Marketers write? I asked myself this question after I published my fifth article on Ezine Articles. Articles are written to give positive food to your audience to remember. People enjoy reading helpful information. A well written article can help build trust and confidence with your readers. If they like reading what you write chances are they will come back for more food for thought. As the popular saying says “The money is in the list.” Through my observation many more marketers are posting ads not informative blogs. Ads are very easy to create. You can easily copy and paste them everywhere. However their impact is short lived. 89% of advertisements are not remembered; 7% is remembered negatively and 4% are remembered positively.
The Written Word Has Power. Words are used to communicate to other human beings; we must connect to make a sale. Never underestimate the influence of your words; the Bible says words have the power of life and death in them. Internet Marketers can use many means to express themselves videos, slide shows blogs and pictures. The written word will always hold its power. Writing benefits the writer as well as the reader. It is a tool to research our products and services and become experts. The best way to make a sale is to be able to thoroughly give the benefits and best uses for our products or services.
Take your time and write a well written article. Time is an asset so you will want to choose an article to write about carefully. What makes your business unique? What kind of unique expert knowledge do you have to offer? To gain ideas for your articles read forums, blogs, social networking sites and major online publications to see exactly what people are talking about now. If you don't you won't be able to differentiate yourself; pick a popular topic or spark a controversy that sells
There is no need to write a lot of articles; it is best to plan how you are going to strategically market them to an interested audience. You cannot just expect people to discover your content because it is great. Devote time focusing on how to get people to your content. Build an email list and regularly notify them of new and updated content. Or, pitch relevant stories to reporters, influencers, and other trade media writers or paid channels like Outbrain.com. Ezine articles is a great website for beginning writers.
Many webmasters will allow you to use A Call-To-Action in a box next to your article. A sales pitch is best given after you have shown that you have something of value to offer. The next step is to give them an invitation to take action on your offer. The typical CTA is a brief, simple statement inviting the potential customer to take advantage of an offer. E.g. "Click Here!" or "Visit your-company-name.com now!"
