We load our car with our bags and take off driving and never have a care in the world about what might happen. In fact we’re happy that we are on our way and ready for our vacation or ready to see old friends. But what about that last journey… why do we fear that last trip?

We say we have great faith in the process, in the white light, in God, and the afterlife. But at the same time we tend to fear that last trip home. Could it be that deep down inside, we really don’t have faith? Or is it the unknown that makes us unwilling to surrender and open our hearts to the next journey?

And it might be the pain of dying, we instinctively run away from pain. We hate pain yet it’s the pain of life that helps us to growing so we become better human beings. Without pain we stagnate, and stay stuck, and never change. Anyone who has gone through a divorce or the loss of a loved one knows that change is not easy. We get used to doing things a certain way, we create ruts that we live in— day in and day out. And when something tremendous happens it knocks us out of those ruts to see that everything in a new light. The great awakening happens and life changes forever.

And that’s exactly what we have when we start that last journey. We have ruts of living life in a certain way, and anything outside of those ruts is foreign to us… so it’s a bit scary. And that’s why all the great saints and guru’s of the world have said that this life that we’re living now… is not our real life. That this life is the unreal life, a motion picture that’s projected for our enjoyment, and for our personal growth. Our true life is on the other side of the veil, with God, the Universe, and the One and Only as pure awareness and consciousness.

And pure awareness and consciousness is really outside of our realm of understanding. And anything outside of our understanding is also outside of our comfort zone. And thus it’s all a bit terrifying because we can’t make sense of any of it from the standpoint of our five senses and what we know from this life. But those who have crossed over in near death experiences talk about love, light, and all encompassing bliss on the other side. And they can’t wait to go back again and be in the light. And even though we read countless accounts of near death experiences of people dying and coming back to talk about it… it’s still outside of our comfort zone.

That’s where blind faith takes over. We have to have… such great faith that we don’t allow our fear to take over and undermine the fact that we really do want to bask in the light of love someday. And there have been many with great faith… and their final crossing was peaceful.

So it really boils down to overcoming our fear with faith. To know beyond a doubt that there will be great things ahead, and we are just leaving one plane to be in another. A plane that we’ve visited many times before, but we’ve forgotten in order to play our part here on earth now.

And no one can give us that faith, no one can inject that faith into us, no one can wave a hand over us and make us have that great faith. Faith comes from our heart, it comes from our own experience, it comes from knowing that there is more to this life than just this flesh and blood. And when we know all of that without a doubt… all the fear of the last journey disappears and we embrace the light with loving arms… ready for the next adventure.

As for me, I can’t wait to be basking in the light of love, in the light of bliss. It will be amazing, plus at that point I will remember all the times before that I have crossed over, time and time again into the light. And because people are suffering on this plane, I know I will come back again to help those in need… and try to make a difference. Because that’s what this life is all about… trying to make a difference in the lives of others.

Many Blessings to Everyone
