Life is the opportunity to speak one great truth in the face of one great lie. It may seem that no one hears it. It may seem that nothing changes. But not to speak – that is the real sin.” — Joan Chittister, Journal, January 23

The Hierarchy of our Church continues to Dismiss Jesus’ own Words

No truer words could be said above, “no one hears it and nothing changes”, literally reflects the Catholic Hierarchy’s continuing pattern of ignoring Jesus’ own words regarding women’s equality in our Church. Then there is the dismissal of a Vatican II Article # 29, in Gaudium et Spes. This directive regards removing discrimination in our Church.

Finally, we find the hierarchy, ignoring their own Pontifical Biblical Commissions findings, of no scriptural reason to prevent women from being priests in the Catholic Church.

The literal “Jill in the Box “ versus the Hierarchy’s QuickSand of Inertia

We know, that three main attributes of Jesus’ Ministry were love, forgiveness, and healing. When we reflect on the hierarchy’s above facade of ministry, in all three examples we simply can’t find any resemblance to Jesus’ way of ministering to the people He came in contact with. He actually helped people rather than ignore them. If Jesus did not ignore people, then why is it alright for the hierarchy to continue to ignore

Jesus’ very words on Women’s Equal Status with men in our Church? Why also is the hierarchy, not following Vatican II’s article on removing discrimination caused by sex in our Church?

Finally, by now, I guess it makes sense for them as well to ignore their own Commissions findings, leaving the door wide open for women to become priests today. But in all reality, that door has been slammed in the face of any woman, whether religious or laity. Even now with that literal Jill in the Box opened for all Catholics to see, the hierarchy remains stuck in their quicksand of inertia which follows its telltale pattern involving a multiplicity of lies of omission.

Speak up for the Good of the Church

Are you personally alarmed by not seeing any semblance of Jesus’ words and actions, but instead finding only lies and deception? In the twenty-first century, is it really right for any Women’s Baptism, to Equate to not being fully Equal in your own Church? This is why it is imperative for Every Catholic Worldwide to speak up and let Rome know that their ministry is not right and it needs to change now.

The Dead-End Street known as Canon Law Alley

The most important person in this discussion, Jesus, is obviously not physically present to us. But then, is that really a good enough excuse for the hierarchy to completely dismiss Jesus’ own words and actions toward women going forward? The centuries-old Scandal of Omission by the hierarchy of the Catholic Church forms the perfect intersection of deceit and deception.

Jesus’ very scriptural words, attesting to the equality of women with men in our church were dumped onto the dead-end street known as Canon Law Alley. These new Man-Made Canon Law’s had absolutely no room for either Jesus’ own words or actions toward women. What this law did make room for, was the addition of new unique man-made words added on to Jesus’ previous words. These words were surprisingly negating the action of Jesus’ original words regarding women’s equality in our Church.
