To know more about what Protease is we need to first ask the question what are enzymes? and why do we need them for digestion. Enzymes make the digestive system work. They are present in every phase of digestion and without them, you cannot adequately digest what you eat. We mostly consume proteins, carbohydrates and fats and in order to convert these three basic foods into materials our bodies can use we need to have three enzyme groups.
1. Proteolytic Enzymes or Protease
2. Lipolytic Enzymes or Lipase
3. Amylolytic Enzymes or Amylase
4. Proteolytic Enzymes or Protease are those which decompose proteins. Protein is made up of about twenty common amino acids. Like every enzyme each type of protease works on specific amino acids.
ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS
Valine
Tryptophan
Threonine
Phenylalanine
Methionine
Lysine
Isoleucine
Histidine
NON ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS
Tyrosine
Serine
Proline
Glycine
Glutamine
Glutamic Acid
Cystein
Aspartic Acid
Aspargine
Arginine
Alanine
Protease can be beneficial taken between meals for things like inflammation, infection, PMS, candida, PMS, osteoporosis and other things.
There are indications that you might need Protease. These indications are as follows.
Kidney Dysfunction
Abscess
Bacteria and virus
Parasites and Fungal infection
Weak Immune system
Ear, nose, throat inflammation
Hepatitis
Hormone Imbalance
Skin eruptions
Parasites, fungal forms, and bacteria are protein bases organisms that are dissolved by Protease.
Viruses have a protein based film covering the nucleic acid inside. Undigested protein, cellular debris and toxin in the blood are broken down by protease. This saves the immune system the extra work of having to rid the blood of these unwanted elements.
I have been working with enzymes for about 8 years now and have seen amazing things happen to unhealthy people simply by working with their digestion. One of the first things I want to know is how often do you eliminate. We should be having at least 2
Healthy bowel movements a day or we are not eliminating correctly and our bodies are full of toxins. I have found with many people that have bad diets or have been exposed to a lot of antibiotics that their friendly bacteria in the gut has been compromised and they are not digesting their food well. In a case like this introducing probiotics and protease twice a day on an empty stomach works well, then add in digestive enzymes with your meals and you will be amazed at how quick your digestion improves.
