The human body is made up from 2/3 moisture. This fluid is located in and around all body cells, blood vessels, lymph vessels and the brain jobs. Many processes are using this body fluids. Include the transport of nerve impulses, hormones or harmful substances (e.g. bacteria) and the exchange of substances (e.g. construction, demolition materials) and / or gases (e.g., oxygen, carbon dioxide).
These processes through body fluids called "water management". The body is in optimum balance and water resources in an optimal condition.
The lymphatic system (lymph vessels and lymph nodes) plays an important role in creating and maintaining the ideal environment for our body cells. Indeed, it is the lymph which carries a nourishing, cleansing and draining role.
Lymph drainage is a normal, natural function in our body, which may be hindered, however, due to illness, stress, or as a result of an accident. In this case, the drainage of the lymph can be optimized by hand (with hands).
How does it work?
When the manual lymph drainage in accordance with the method Vodder is rhythmically a very soft, helical compression exerted on the lymph nodes and lymph vessels, in which the direction is determined by the direction of flow of the lymphatic system. Especially the rhythm of the 'handle' is very important.
That rhythm must include exactly match the opening and closing of the valves in the lymph vessels and capillaries, for only then can all the 'excess' bodily fluids to flow freely.
The treatment, where the patient is usually, takes place at a pleasant temperature and in a very relaxed atmosphere. To achieve this latter is often asked not to talk during the treatment. The duration of treatment depends on the complaint and will be virtually painless. The treatment begins, if necessary, with an extensive interview, which among other things will become clear how the body (human) functions. The massage begins with the lymph nodes in the neck (the base) followed by, according to the complaint, the lymph nodes in the abdomen, armpits, groin and / or face.
Does the patient have symptoms outside the lymph node will then follow a specific targeted therapy.
The treatable complaints
The manual lymphatic drainage according to the Vodder procedure is applicable to very much complaints, whether or not in combination with other forms of therapy. So we treat include people with:
- Swelling (edema); e.g., lymphedema, swelling after an injury or after surgery.
- Sprains
- Bruising
- Muscle aches and muscle injuries
- Dystrophies
- Arthritis (inflammation)
- Wear
- Complaints to the nervous system; e.g. MS, facial paralysis, migraine.
- Complaints due to stress; e.g., insomnia, loss of concentration, constipation, diarrhea, headache, fertility problems.
- Ear, nose, and ear
- Skin problems; e.g. chronic eczema, acne, scars
- lung disease; for example chronic bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema, asthma.
- Circulatory disorders; e.g. glaucoma, shop window illness, open wounds.
- Complaints body; e.g., the liver, the kidneys (allergies), the intestines (Crohn's disease), the spleen.
