Many people think of the word affirmations when positive phrases are mentioned. Here are some positive phrases that are also affirmations:

My life is filled with joyous experiences.

I am happy with my life.

All is well wherever I am.

I let go of fear. God is the only power in my life.

Actually, positive affirmations are positive phrases and so much more. The word affirmation alone is a statement that claims a truth, positive or negative in nature. The affirmations we choose on a daily basis have an affect on our thoughts and actions. So, it only stands to reason that we should use more positive affirmations. By using positive affirmations on a regular basis instead of negative ones we can create more positive life experiences. We all need positive phrases in our lives, but most of us don’t realize how important they really are.

We don’t pay close enough attention to the words we think and say in each moment. How many times have you had to use the phrase: "I didn’t mean it that way" because you said something that was viewed as unkind? We make light of unkind phrases and frequently withhold positive phrases for rare events or office display. This is because most people don’t know that the life they are living right now is a result of the words they use on a daily basis. The more people see the connection between words and experiences the more carefully they choose the words they think and say. We should practice using more positive phrases like:

I recognize my own beauty.

I bring joy into every new experience.

As a divine expression of God, I am worthy of love.

These positive phrases or affirmations can be used to shape our lives. You use affirmations by repeating them and visualizing. When you make the conscious choice to use positive spoken words and “self-talk”, you will quickly discover how often you have been allowing negative affirmations to enter your mind. For instance, if you find yourself entertaining thoughts of envy for a co-worker’s position, you could start to affirm, “I now attract and accept the perfect job position. There is enough prosperity for all.” You will then stop the drifting and take active control of the direction of your thoughts by replacing the negative thoughts with your affirmation. When you first start using positive affirmations, your reality may not seem to reflect what you are affirming. But, what you will find is that your life experiences will start to reflect your positive affirmations the more regularly you use and believe them.
