While Valentine's Day can be the most romantic day of the year for some of us, it can be downright torture for anyone who's single, especially if they are single. Especially newly single. Any woman who has been recently divorced needs to find a way to "turn it around" and make it a day to enjoy and celebrate her "newly-liberated" status!

The trick, is to remember that you are in charge of your happiness and destiny. "Indulge yourself during these times. Do things that you would normally not take the time to do – whether it's reading an entire book cover to cover, splurging on something you don't need but desperately want or going to a hot concert – now's the time to do it!"
- Pamper Yourself – Whether you're depressed or stressed, massage therapy will help alleviate tension and change your outlook immediately.
- Throw a Girlfriends Party – Host an old-fashioned sleep-over! Order in some great food, hire someone to come and give "mani's/pedi's" and dance around to Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive."
- Let Freedom Ring! - Declare your independence to everyone and buy a beautiful ring or other piece of jewelry to remind yourself how important you are to you!
- Go For The Gusto – While it might not be that rush you feel when you first fall in love, the adrenaline high from trying something new can also make you feel great. Celebrate this Valentine's Day by trying something you've always wanted to but never thought you'd have the guts – anything from skydiving to skiing.
- Clean House – Celebrate your new life by organizing, painting or adding some bright new touches. The key is to create your own space with your own identity. It's also time to clean house legally. Have new a? new will , power of attorney's and trust established. Choose new insurance beneficiaries. Legally and financially protect yourself, your children and your assets.
