If you’re making a list of the most important things you can do to get pregnant, I hope “having sex” is number one on the list. Of course you know that, but did you know there are optimal times of the month to maximize your chances of conceiving? Assuming you ovulate one time every month, and the egg you drop is only good for 12 to 24 hours (yep that’s it, sorry), you better know for sure when it happens.
The most effective way to predict ovulation is by purchasing an ovulation prediction kit, often referred to as an OPK. This kit tests the hormone levels in your urine and predicts ovulation anywhere from 24 to 36 hours in advance. As soon as your test shows as increase in the luteinizing hormone, you should plan on having intercourse for at least the next three days, as your partners sperm can last up to 36 hours. Make sure he is ok with that; somehow I’m sure he will be. This method is truly THE best way to get pregnant, as it’s the only one that strictly relies on Mother Nature herself.
It’s also important to make an appointment with your OBGYN, when you have decided to become pregnant. Nearly all OBGYN’s will prescribe you pre-natal vitamins. Pre-natal vitamins give you nutrients recognized by the ADA†as beneficial to a healthy pregnancy outcome for both you and the expected baby. Prenatal vitamins are similar to other†multivitamins, but have different amounts of specific vitamins for the expecting (hopefully) mother to be.
Another best way to get pregnant tip is to try to stay as relaxed and stress free about the whole process. If your body is tense and your mind is at ease, you are not helping the situation what so ever. If you are not already on some sort of exercise program, you may want start thinking about it. Many women have told me they signed up for yoga classes and it became the easiest way for them to get over the anxiety of the getting “pregnant” process. With a stress free mind and a relaxed body, you will be far more likely to look forward to sex, which as I said is kind of important. Intercourse should never be looked at as a chore, or job, it should be approached with anticipation and eagerness.
Don’t forget to come up with a plan for you and your partner. Make sure you both are on the same page when it comes to the conception process. If both of you are not in sync, this miscommunication will lead to missed opportunities, opportunities that are only around about 48 hours a month.
When you know that you are ovulating try having sex more than once a day, this is truly the most enjoyable and best way to get pregnant.
Thanks, I'd love to help further... http://www.getpregnantmum.com
