Spirituality is the process of distinguishing between the superficial and the essential. In our high-speed world there is only time for the superficial, (choose more current examples – the Kardashian’s, etc. the Honey Boo Boos, the Paris Hiltons, the Beavis and Buttheads. Instead of going to the source of our problems, we stop at symptomatic treatment because it's cheaper and faster.

I want to go to the source and speak about that spirit, and the power we have to use that spirit to transform our bodies, our minds, and our lives.

It starts with healing. Within us there is a powerful force, the desire of an organism to be whole. We see it heal our cuts and bruises; there is an inner hunger for a high-quality nurturance, and a desire to be near those who help us bring forth our highest selves.

This desire to be whole, this “urge to merge”, is an enormously powerful force. Unfortunately those of us who have grown up in our culture in the past century have received little to no guidance in learning of its presence. We have never been taught how to use its potential for healing our lives–and even less about how to responsibly guide our lives - and protect the lives of those who depend on us - in a wise manner. I'm referring to each of us individually as well as all of us collectively.

Most of us go about our lives in very unconscious ways. We go through the daily routine, and through the weeks and months, acting as if everything is okay the way it is. We complain once in a while but do very little. You are in hypnosis! We are in hypnosis, but, as is common with people in hypnosis who are unaware of how it works, we have no idea we are in a trance.

When you begin to come out of the trance you begin to realize that the true source of the imbalance in your life and in your world lies at the level of the mind, the emotions, and the spirit. Next you need to understand the importance of dissolving residues of a confused or traumatic past, free yourself of the limits of the past, the anxiety, resentment, negativity and self-doubt.

Treating the source, requires that you enter the present moment. Being fully present means to dissolve the accumulated stress chemicals from past traumas, and intentionally guiding the behavior of your own mind and leading it to create positive emotions and healing images (wholeness, homeostasis).

There is a great desire within every cell of the body, within every organ and every organ system in the body for wholeness. The ancients knew much more about how to utilize the powers of the mind, although my feeling is that their knowledge and wisdom is amplified by utilizing it in conjunction with the discoveries of modern neuroscience.

To heal is natural, and it is only as a result of the blockage that stress and our high tech, high speed, lifestyle that gives rise to most of our diseases and prevents the recovery from the others.

The greatest antidote to the illnesses, diseases, and problems of our age becomes available when you quiet the mind and find a way to get in touch with your soul.
