Since my diagnoses with ALS my bladder has become weak. I couldn't make it to the bathroom fast enough without pee making a stream down my leg. I hated it. No matter how much liquid I drink I just couldn't hold my pee.

I know there are probably others who can relate with what I'm saying and what I was feeling. My family and friends told me to wear Depends but I didn't want to depend on Depend (no pun intended). So I told them thanks for their advice but I will pray and believe my prayers will be answered.

Well, my prayers were answered and I'm going to share it with you. An article was sent to my email box and all I can remember is the title had caught my attention. It mentioned something about what you can do if you have a weak bladder.

Boy was I surprised when I read that one simple thing you can do to stop having a stream running down your leg. CORNSILK TEA! That's it....yep, I couldn't believe it either. That same day I went online and Google it. I ordered a couple of boxes just in case it didn't work. It seem like it took forever before it came.

When it finally arrived I made a cup an hour before I went to bed and to my surprise it work. That was about three years ago and to this day I'm still drinking it before I go to bed. I DO NOT HAVE A STREAM ANY MORE! Wooooohooooo! I'm so glad my prayers were answered.

You can use the silk in your ear of corn also. The function of the silk is to collect the pollen that fertilizes each seed. The silk is not food, but it is valued in the annals of traditional herbal medicine as a treatment for urinary disorders.

Health Benefits Attributed To Cornsilk Tea:

1. Cornsilk tea may help in the treatment of urinary tract infections, cystitis, prostatitis, and bladder infections. It may also help in reducing irritants in the kidney.
2. It may help reduce the retention of fluids in the body.
3. It may also help detoxify and flush out accumulated toxins in the body.
4. Cornsilk tea may help in the treatment of prostate disorders.
5. Cornsilk tea, when applied topically, may help in healing wounds and skin ulcers.
6. Cornsilk tea may help in the treatment jaundice.
7. Cornsilk tea may help lower blood pressure.
8. Cornsilk tea may aid in relieving arthritis.

Now, I can't say if it work for the other things it claims but I can say if your bladder is weak and you have that unwanted stream running down your legs then cornsilk tea is for you. You can drink this tea hot or cold. I drink mine hot. It relaxes me before bedtime. I always thank God for that newsletter. This tea is good for children who wet the bed and also for any senior citizens who wet the bed.
