The press has been using the term "murderer on Facebook," as the place to get trendy. In recent years social networking has come and gone, with the networks Myspace famous losing his crown in recent years. The idea of a social network is the most popular for a long period of time seemed unlikely. People probably get tired of seeing the same site every day, right? Facebook has gone against the law and through a combination of intelligent management and the fate of the site has accumulated more than 750 million users.

Each week we learn a new social media network that will become the premier destination on the web. New network, Google Earth Plus and earlier sites such as Google Buzz and wave have been established as rivals to the crown of Facebook. Other sites such as Meetup, Bebo and Hi5 have also tried to become the top social site, but have not attracted enough fans. I believe that the overthrow of Facebook is possible, but the site has not been good enough and it will take several years to accomplish the task. Twitter and LinkedIn are probably the closet to the goal, but both offer services separately. Gladly the use of the three chains and are adjusted to a different purpose. So I think for anything to beat Facebook will have to offer something completely different.

Comparing the current position in social networks Facebook and Google search you can see a similar story. Facebook was created at a time when Myspace had got about 80 million users. Most people thought the site was invincible and that 80 million users many of the competing sites. The search market has a similar story, Yahoo was king and no one thought it would be challenged in 1995. The problem was that both sites were used by a relatively small number of users. As the Internet grew, new users chose Google and Facebook rather than Yahoo and MySpace. People were using the original leaders in their field were not related to them either. Myspace may have had 50 friends and could have saved Yahoo as their homepage, but had the option to change. On Facebook users now have an average of 130 friends each and many of the younger members have about 300 friends. Is it likely that you would change when almost everyone you know is on the site?

Facebook has 175 million users worldwide and half of them entering the site each day. The network has become part of life for most Internet users with 71.2% of the U.S. web audience in the social site. Facebook is the most searched on the Internet and almost half of 18 to 34 years old at the site to do as soon as you wake up. We believe that Facebook is here to stay.
