This article is truly for minor to moderate symptoms of depression; due to my professional – ethical responsibility I have to advise you to please see your GP or a health practitioner for any signs or symptoms of depression.

Positive depression:

One of the truth about myself is that I had no idea what ‘depression’ is, what it means, how it feels like, this was my innocence or lack of knowledge or no personal or practical experience up to this age, it is a big shame that now a days even a child of age 5 can be diagnosed and medicated as depressed! thanks to our modern age psychiatry and pharmaceutical industry.

I was thinking today is (mild to moderate clinical) depression a real illness?

You can come up with hundreds of research articles from the medical and psychiatry profession about the confirmation of this ailment existence but my personal theory is that, depression symptoms are true and real but its same like symptoms of some other physical illness which actually indicates us that some abnormal process is happening in the body and our attention and intervention is required, body is same like a baby if will not cry through its symptoms we can’t guess about its needs.

So there will be two kind of depression, one is linked with body illness eg. Thyroid disorder, vitamin D deficiency or brain linked due to so called ‘deficiency of certain neurochemicals, I appreciate that there are severe cases of depression which are rare but exists and need immediate medical attention, but there are minor to moderate cases which can be a simple worry, stress or issue of life which actually needs attention to sort this out. In the spiritual world I will call this awakening process as sometimes when we start asking questions about ourselves, about our existence about our purpose in life or destiny, we start showing symptoms of depression which can be sometimes maturity of soul and a bit of serious thinking, our mood changes and just to keep pace with the daily activities and with our usual circle we have to put and try putting various kinds of masks but some times we fail to do so and are judged as having strange behavior, mood disorder etc and then listening and trying to make others happy we fall into this pit of actual depression which leads us to a tag for life. What if somebody would have listened to our questions without judging? because definitely there were issues which we didn’t shared with our friends or loved ones’ and now by cultivating deep in our souls we have harvested the crop of depression, But should we name this depression? a real one or false one, a negative one or positive one?

I, as a Medical intuitive healer, from my practical knowledge came to this conclusion that mostly when depression starts to manifest, it starts as a positive one which is actually a combination of physical and psychological signs to wake us up that there is some issue some problem which needs our attention’, what we do? We leave ourselves in ‘’expert’’ hands of the doctors and some of them (not all) with their limited knowledge and to fasten the diagnosis pathway and ease of treatment, just give us a tag of depression, it doesn’t matter that this will be treated by CBT or drugs, what matters is that, the person is now under one psychiatric illness tag which can have dramatic effect on his/her life.

With 5 minutes family doctor’s consultation or with a questioners form, you cannot diagnose one person with depression, if you go through thoroughly, there might be chances that a shift will happen at the spot and the person will realize that ‘X’ issue is the one which actually needs looking into and if that will be sorted, symptoms will go away.

When you lose hope, you are disappointed and you feel like there is no help present that means ‘depression tag is awaiting for you, but what if you try to look into your intentions, thoughts, feelings, and actions that what has gone wrong over last few weeks or last few months, what have changed and why and what can be done to get back to the base line, may be you will find the answer and will heal yourself miraculously without any medical or psychological input.

There are huge volume of books on psychology but the borderline is that every person is unique and human being is unpredictable, one can learn about general human psychology all his/her life and after 40 years of experience he/she will wake up with a case where all the basic theories will be wrong so why to rely on this system, why not use your own resources to help yourself. You actually need help from inside rather than outer world and that will make you strong and feel more accomplished rather than wasting time with all that psycho-analysis and therapies which will make your life a living hell of questions, through this path your full focus is just on you and on your past, you try to learn new behaviours and try to change your whole personality, this should be the case for a personality disorder or severe psychiatric illness patient but NOT for you, who just by losing his/her job, had taken too much stress and had a label of depression for 2 years with different kinds of treatment and now changed his/her personality through other’s struggle, but what if you lose your partner next? how many chances of 2nd time entering in the same pit of depression? Definitely many more times than the first one, in spite of all those tablets and/or long sessions’.
So what I meant to say here, Wake Up please, be strong, fight, gather all your energy and wisdom, you are not a child anymore to depend on others, you are a mature person, you have all the tools, Stop and analyze what happened and what brought you to this stage? What needs attention in your life? Was it love one’s loss, was it because of bullying, was it because of some embarrassment, was it because of not getting the right promotion in your job, was it financial struggle, or debt? Whatever the issue is, there is always a solution, and answer is inside you, you are the wisest person for yourself, nobody else knows better about you. You can go to a fortune teller and just come up with the same answer which actually you had inside you and they tried to implement as a general psychological idea and then it was your perception that ‘this’ was the answer. Why waste time and money on this, you just need belief and faith in yourself.

I agree that some time there is really true struggle and you can’t see any light in the dark world of your suffering but you have to realize that even a small lid will lighten this dark darkness so may be a small chat with a friend, or a meditation sitting or a pray may help to enlighten you and to show you the true and simple path rather than doing extra long useless miles and to come to the same conclusion several years later.

I would recommend some basics to follow as well which are simple but can have tremendous healing effect like daily morning breathing exercise; more and fresh oxygen to brain more clear thinking, meditation; negative thoughts will diminish and positive actions will take place, drink plenty of water and eat good nutrition diet; this will always aid to have better physical and mental health, comfortable & relaxed good night sleep; this will always give more energy to fight better with the symptoms and the most powerful is ‘to pray, indifferent of your religion and faith, you can pray, even if you are a atheist just pray to you, ask yourself what you need and you will be given.
