And the crazy thing is that it really does not even matter how much you are earning, you could be making millions at work and still feel as though you do not have the extra you need, to do what you want to do to build your business but honey, it is not true.

There are a few things at play here and some of what I am going to say, you will either agree with and breathe a sigh of relief that you are not the only one to think this way or you will think I am a charlatan and unfriend me immediately

FIRST IDEA TO CONSIDER

So, you want to serve people and make money living your dream?  OK!  Great!  My first question to you is “do you believe enough in what you have to offer that you are willing to go into debt to offer it?”

Yes, I mean that.

GO INTO DEBT TO MAKE IT WORK!

Do you believe enough in your thing?

Are you going to stay on track for as long as it takes?

Or is the plan to play around for a bit and when it gets hard, run run away!

I used to do this so honey, no judgement but don’t lie to yourself, okay?

This is the thing, if you know that whatever money you use now, you are going to do whatever it takes to get that money back AND MORE, then it is not really a problem, is it?

It is just a temporary blip.

The truth is, you may or you may not have to go into debt but you have to be willing to.

You have to believe enough in what you are doing to know that your debt is simply a temporary thing while you get yourself off the ground.

If you don’t KNOW that inside of you, apart from the normal blips of self-doubt…

If you are not all that committed to building a business that serves people and cash-flows positive…

If you are willing to let fear and a lack of funds stop you…

Then honey, maybe you should just stick with the day-job or whatever it is you are doing right now while you keep right on dreaming about doing something that really matters to you.

The truth is, if you are the maverick that I am speaking to, it will relieve you to hear this because the chances are, you are already in some debt and feeling guilty about it and there ain’t nothing to feel guilty or shameful about.

In growing my business, I reached the depths of over $100k debt but I refused to let it phase me, I knew and still know my vision and I know I am committed to it FOREVER so I do whatever I have to do to keep moving forward and in fact, I am pretty thankful for the ability to use credit.

I have gone down the bad debt side where I went bankrupt and had absolutely nothing to show for it and that is ugly – Consumer debt is not what I am talking about here.

However, everything I invest on my growth and my business growth, to me, is absolutely worth it.  Regular peeps will disagree but hey, I am not speaking to regular peeps.

And when I see budding entrepreneurs trying to avoid spending anything at all to grow their business, or backing off because the pressure got too much, or refusing to work with a coach and so therefore going round and round in circles, I realise that they are not really committed to their vision.  They spend so much time trying not to spend any money and they forget that their most valuable resource is TIME!

Pity!

So many ideas that could change the world crushed by fear and a lack of grit and relentlessness.

Pity.

SECOND IDEA TO CONSIDER

The unfortunate result of you being unwilling to put yourself on the line for your vision is that you block off creativity.

I hear people tell me that they do not have the money to even begin their dream and really, as soon as they say that to me, I know that they are also not thinking outside the box.

NO ONE HAS THE MONEY TO START A BUSINESS or live out their vision unless you are a teenager living at home still or you inherited a lot of money.

For most adults, your money is allocated to certain things and again regardless of how much you earn, your expenses tend to follow along with it and you still end up with NOT ALL THAT MUCH spare liquid cash!

So, when you tell yourself that money is the roadblock, then you also shut down your ability to think outside the box.   There is always a creative solution to anything, if you will keep your brain in the game.  Most people give themselves an ‘out’ from thinking by saying they have no money but surely that is not you.

Think about it – IF YOU WERE TRULY COMMITTED TO GETTING YOUR VISION OFF THE GROUND, what would be the next thing to do to make it so?

And please do not say the easy answer – “I don’t know”

That is just your fear and refusal to think, talking.

THINK and then act!

Maybe, you need to ask someone for support…

Maybe you need to come up with a plan to do a joint venture with someone else…

Maybe, you need to sell someone else’s product for a season and invest all the profits into creating your own…

Maybe you do need to do that other job temporarily and invest all the extra money into your business…

Maybe you just need to be considerably louder about telling people about what you are up to and figure out some publicity stunt to get attention…

Maybe you just need to stop using your brain for second-guessing and overthinking and doubting and simply focus on coming up with novel solutions to getting yourself started…

Honey, there is always more than one way to DO ANYTHING!
