I have learned to rely on my intuition for everything in my life: relationships, the direction my career is taking and even which Chinese restaurant I should choose to order my dinner. Although some decisions I rely on my intuition for seems trivial, silly even, it’s crucial for the correct path that I need to walk. When I don’t listen to those inner nudges, that “gut” feeling, I am always steered off track and end up paying the consequences three fold. Whether you rely on your intuition regularly or are now making a conscious point to for the future, here are some intuition quotes to motivate you to listen to your inner knowing.
Intuition is the clear conception of the whole at once.”

It’s hard to see the big picture of the problem at hand. This is when intuition really serves its purpose, and when we should most pay attention to those nudges or feelings we all have as we are about to make a decision. When we listen to our intuition, we can see clearly what needs to be done. We all have a gift that we gift ourselves, which is the ability to fine tune that “inner voice” so that we can make confident decisions at all times.

“I feel there are two people inside me - me and my intuition. If I go against her, she'll screw me every time, and if I follow her, we get along quite nicely.” – Kim Basinger

When we fail to listen to our intuition, what we are really doing is failing to stay true to ourselves. This can happen easily when the opinions and expectations of others can weigh more heavily than how we feel deep inside. But listen, listen listen and you will never be led astray.
“You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself.”

Who you really are goes hand in hand with your intuition. You can begin to listen to your inner voice and hear it more easily and quickly by meditating; doing the things you love doing and even eating well. Exercise in the outdoors with walking or even take a yoga class to help you reconnect to your body and mind. These kinds of activities all contribute to a stronger connection not only physically but to our intuition. Once we begin truly taking care of ourselves, we find a closer connection to our intuition as well.

“Good instincts usually tell you what to do long before your head has figured it out.” –Michael Burke

Being in touch with our intuition requires a strong sense of self. Our intuition is constantly trying to tell us what’s right and wrong but a busy life means it’s not always easy to detect our inner voice. What is important is that we focus on our breathing and how we feel at any given time. Then our intuitive sense will follow.

“Trust your own instinct.  Your mistakes might as well be your own, instead of someone else's.”  ~Billy Wilder

It doesn’t matter what choice you need to make in your life. Is it work related? Do you wonder whether you should give your spouse yet another chance to redeem himself/herself after a pattern of lying? Do you wonder if certain people in your life are contributing to your unhappiness and self-doubt? We are constantly making choices that have consequences, but the important thing is to be sure that the decisions we make for ourselves are the right ones. To do this, we must listen to our intuition. It is our greatest and most useful tool.

“Trust your hunches.  They're usually based on facts filed away just below the conscious level.”  ~Joyce Brothers

When you experience a feeling that something isn’t right or someone isn’t telling the truth, what is that feeling really about? It must come from somewhere, right? Well, it does. It comes from a truth within yourself that knows what’s right and wrong beyond all logic. Your intuition doesn’t need to make sense or need to be backed up with facts to make it the right decision for you. What intuition is, is a deep and powerful subconscious knowledge that’s beyond anything else. What intuition does is point us in the right direction, each and every time.

“It is always with excitement that I wake up in the morning wondering what my Intuition will toss up to me, like gifts from the sea. I work with it and rely on it. It's my partner.”   -Dr. Jonas Salk

This is the perfect attitude to have, since we should partner up with our intuition as if it were our best friend. Intuition is powerful, a companion in our darkest hour and when listened to and followed, can give us anything we want in life. Whether we are talking to someone that is making us feel uncomfortable to getting out of a dangerous situation, intuition is crucial for a healthy and well lived life.

“Follow your instincts. That's where true wisdom manifests itself.”  - Oprah Winfrey

Who knows more about having a fulfilling life than Oprah? It’s unlikely that she ended up where she is as a powerful life-changer without relying on her intuition. It’s also unlikely that she became the wise business woman she is without believing in her true voice, the one that tells her who she is and who she is not. Without listening to your intuition, it really is difficult to know with any certainty that the decision you’re making is the right one. With listening to your intuition, you can become wise, alert, focused and determined to be yourself at any and all times.

Where would we be without listening and relying on our intuition? The likelihood is that we may be unhappy, unfocused in our career or personal life and unable to make decisions with total certainty and confidence. Our true voice is our greatest partner and one that we can depend on to keep us safe, secure and loved.
