Introduction

Starting over myself at the age of 61, I completely understand the depth, breath and scope of beginning all over again in both my professional and personal life. It’s not just the loss of a job, career or business, the impact on one’s life runs much, much deeper. The current pandemic is affecting hundreds of thousands if not millions of people worldwide, that have bills to pay, families to support and dreams that have lost their momentum. Though all appears to be lost it is also a very good opportunity to renew, rebuild and reengineer our best new life for either a new job or a new business. We are not just human beings made up of physical bodies, we are much, much more. It’s time to get back to “life basics” and rebuild from the inside out.

The Spiritual (Our Life Force)

Most people really don’t pay attention to their spiritual life until there is some type of major life crisis in their lives –death, cancer or other life crises, then their spiritual life comes to the forefront. What if everything that we need, want, and desire starts off in our spiritual life and then comes to creation in our physical life? What if aligning our body, mind, emotions and spirit was the means to get what we really want in life? What if meditation was one of the ways? Learn to meditate (YouTube has excellent Videos – mine is called - Basic Meditation Technique: 1 2 3 4.) Listen to it every day for 30 days and see how you manage your life in a whole new way – calm, cool and collected!

The Emotional (Our Emotional Heart)

The down time during the pandemic is also a very good time to rebuild our emotional wellbeing. It’s a good time to take a long hard look at our emotional lives, examine, process and get rid of any and all “emotional baggage” that we are carrying around that no longer serves us and that continues to slow our progress and growth as human beings to evolve to our best selves. For me it was examining, processing and letting go of how my parents treated me, the time had come to let go of all the “pain, anger and sorrow” I carried with me and to start living my own life on my own terms. It feels like a massive weight has been lifted off of me and I feel much better for doing so. It’s an “inside job” and only you can do the necessary “self-work” on yourself for a better you.

The Mental (Our Mind)

An ironic thing about our minds is that in the past 25 years or so we are using our minds more and more yet, for the most part, we are not taught how to utilize and exercise our minds to our fullest potential, nor are we taught how to relax our minds, causing all types of stress based “dis-eases” of the mind. We know how to utilize and exercise our physical bodies and we know about relaxing our physical bodies yet when it comes to our minds it appears it’s not as important to be taught these concepts. It’s time to think about the mind as another “body organ” that needs to be utilized, exercised and relaxed properly like the rest of our body parts. How it this done? Through meditation, guided imagery/creative visualization, reading positive uplifting information, watching and taking in positive things, that feeds our minds in a positive way. The mind works like a computer – you put garbage in you get garbage out.

The Physical (Our Body)

Last but definitely not least is our physical bodies. We need to take care of our bodies by eating right and exercising to keep us healthy, vital and do all the things we want to do in this life. Here is where the “rubber meets the road” and all your physical manifestations come into creation. Based on all the work you have done on yourself you reap the rewards of your labors. You can experience prosperity in all of its forms: good health, financial abundance, love, happiness and whatever else prosperity means to you. In the physical exists the better job that you want or acquire the money to build the business of your dreams!

Conclusion

While this pandemic has and continues to cause massive death and the ruining of people lives it also gives us as humans the opportunity and ability to start over. No one said it would be easy, or not fraught with trials and tribulations or hardships. It can be done, we can do it, you can do it. Like the mythical bird The Phoenix (The Phoenix represents transformation and rebirth in its fire. As a powerful spiritual totem, the Phoenix is the ultimate symbol of strength and renewal.) we will rise again, fly high and soar to new heights once again!
