Perhaps you have felt like your life really has no real purpose. Perhaps you have felt that you simply exist from one day to the next without really feeling either positively or negatively about it. If this is the situation you find yourself in then boredom is your enemy.

Everyone experiences boredom in their lives and for many it restricts them from ever reaching their full potential. If you are in a position such as this and you want to be on the path to success and fulfillment then you will have to forgo the boredom. You need to decide not to be bored anymore!

Being bored is bad for both your physical and your mental health. It results in feelings of being unfulfilled, unhappy, and tired. In reality inactivity actually breeds more inactivity and leaves you with feelings of emptiness and misery. It is an ongoing cycle and you need to consciously break it to be free of it.

If boredom has you in its grasp and you want out you have to do something - anything! You need to get going! If you do not like what you are doing change it to something different.

Boredom and Purpose

Can boredom relate to finding purpose? The answer is a simple one. When we permit ourselves to be bored you are effectively erecting obstacles on the path that would ultimately lead you to the summit of your personal mountain.

Having a purpose is crucial because it is that very purpose that enables you to have happy feelings and gives you a reason to get up every day. It keeps you active, moving, and benefits your health.

Your career is not automatically your special purpose. In fact it could be a hobby you enjoy or a charitable cause.

It is vital that you love what you do. Of course the perfect scenario is loving what one does, being able to turn what we feel passionate about into our career. Unless you actually love what you do you need to find something else to pursue.

Some individuals are able to pursue their passion while they aren't working simply because there are some passions that don't make suitable careers. For instance there aren't many high paying stamp collecting jobs available.

How do you discover what your Purpose is?

Have you wondered how to discover your special purpose? Although the process might be construed as tough you will have to open yourself up to new experiences by getting out there and doing different things. You have to disallow yourself to be bored or even to say that you are!

You can discover your purpose or even your passion by re-exploring your world.

It doesn't matter if you start to read new books or if you explore your city in a new way, or even if you strike up chats with people you don't know. By doing something new you will discover things about yourself that you never knew before while at the same time discovering your surroundings as you experience new adventures.

New experiences can offer you much. They get you out of the old mind-set and project you into a new where you are more passionate and interested in the world at large. New encounters motivate you to experience new thins, develop new skills, and discover what you excel at.

Purpose can be found almost anywhere so be sure not to dismiss any activity out of hand. Remember that if you try something and don't like it there is no reason to go back to it again.

It comes down to having passions and the willingness to persevere and pursue those passions. If you have felt that your life is empty fill it up with passion!
