I’m willing to bet you’ve heard the statement, “Thoughts are Things”. If you haven’t. Well…They Are. However, I’m not sure if you ever deeply thought about that short, three word truth and the profound life-changing implications it carries. The fact of the matter is that thoughts are the starting point of everything.

Thoughts lead to feelings. Feelings lead to actions. And actions lead to results. That’s the way it works. That’s the process of manifestation.

Our reality, our outside world, is really only a reflection of our inside world. Which, as I just stated above, begins with our thoughts.

You see, life is really our interpretation of events and circumstances. Our perception of things becomes our reality. Makes sense, right? So, when things happen or occur in our lives, it really boils down to how we look at them and perceive them and how we think about them. That then forms our reality.

Truly, in nature, there isn’t any good or bad. There’s only events and their corresponding consequences. End of story. There is a cause. There’s it’s effect. The end. It’s not good. It’s not bad. It just IS.

We are the ones that get to place meaning and labels on things. We hold that power. (I feel it’s important to note that God can use all things for good.)

So, I create and determine my reality through my thoughts. And you create and determine your reality through your thoughts.

Are you with me here? I want to make sure you’re grasping the significance of this.

The universe, the world, our reality – it exists in our mind.

Fortunately, for us, we get to control our minds through our thoughts. How awesome is this? We have the ability to choose what we want to think about. We can also change our thoughts or perceptions about things. We can add to our thoughts. We can think more empowering and positive thoughts.

We are really the ones behind the curtain pulling all the levers and strings. We hold the power.

So, let me ask you, how are you perceiving things? Are you thinking empowering and positive thoughts? When challenges come up, do you see them in a positive light or more of a negative light? Is the glass half-empty or half-full?

You see, it really comes down to what you focus on. Where does your attention lie? Whatever you focus on, your mind will expand. When faced with an obstacle, do you focus on and think about how difficult it will be and all the reasons why you will probably fail? Or, do you think “I can do it” and begin to contemplate possible solutions?

As I stated. Where you direct your thoughts will direct your feelings. Your feelings will direct your actions. And those actions will direct your results. Those results, those physical manifestations – well, look around, that’s your reality.

What I’m about to tell you may feel like a slap in the face. I know it did when I discovered it. Right now, your life is exactly the way you want it to be. Now you may be saying, “Wait a minute Ron. That’s not true. I would like to be more healthy and more happy. I want to be rich, dang it.”

I hear you. But, don’t look at me. You’re the one choosing your thoughts. You’re creating your reality. You’re choosing the life you want through the thoughts you choose to think.

Listen. I understand. Don’t get me wrong, I hate the idea of blaming others, but it’s not your fault. I mean, nobody really teaches you this in school growing up or even in college. But the fact that you’re reading this means that you do care about growing as a person. Bottom line, you have the ability and power to grow. I know you can do it.

So, once again, the good news is that you CAN change your thoughts. You CAN change where you put your attention. You CAN change the meaning you place on things.

In essence, you get to choose you accomplishments, your happiness, and your life.

Here's to a better life.
