New Study - People Who Feel Isolated Die Early — What Can We Do?

There is a new study showing that people who feel isolated have a 3 to 5 times higher chance of dying early from disease.

What This Means - Isolation means we feel alone, and that aloneness makes us feel empty. And that emptiness leads to sadness and depression. And eventually that sadness lowers our immune system and we end up with a disease. Whether it be cancer or any other disease… this sooner or later leads to an early death.

What Can We Do?

1 - It is very important to make time for people. People are not going to come to us, we have to get out of our rut and get out and meet new people and create a network of friends.

2 - In Studies at the University of Melbourne - Even people who are introverts who tried faking being an extrovert felt better about their life. So it’s important to be proactive and get outside of our normal way of doing things and good things will take place.

3 - In Studies at the National Institute of Health - Those who learned meditation felt better about themselves and started getting out and enjoying life more. Also, they had a lot less stress which lowers their chances of coming down with a disease.

4 - In Studies in Journal of Personality and Social Psychology - People were either just given an impossible puzzle to solve or they were put into a group and then given the same puzzle to solve. The ones who felt they were part of a group worked on the puzzle longer… and felt better about their results. Thus, in general, it’s very important that we have some kind of group support.

5 - Studies show that those who become part of some group even if it’s a club or some social activity group feel better about life.

In fact, they have a feeling of:

Interdependence upon one another

Have a common purpose to work towards

They have lots of social interaction

Have feelings of companionship and even feelings of love of friends.

They feel good when the group achieves a milestone

Gives them a sense of power over their life and life situations

And in general, they feel more secure with themselves

Plus their self-esteem is empowered

They feel less lonely, isolated, and judged

They have less fatigue, distress, depression, and anxiety

And they slowly learn to have skills to cope with life’s challenges

Even church groups, clubs, volunteer organizations, and those who work helping the homeless in soup kitchens, all kinds of groups… are healthy to belong too… and help heal a person from the inside out.

So there is no reason to feel alone… people are waiting for you to join their group.

And thus you can live a long happy life.

As it says in the spiritual texts — "Whenever 2 or more of you gather in My Name”.

Many Blessings to Everyone
