When the Aston Martin DB9 was named as Britain's favourite supercar, in a survey commissioned by Manheim Auctions, I was the happiest person alive. Since my husband bought himself the Audi R8, he has been driving me crazy by saying that he has the best car on the road.

I have had my Aston Martin DB9 for two years now, it’s as good as it was when I first bought it but to my husband it’s an old car. So when I read that the Aston Martin DB9 finished in top position, with my husband ‘so-called’ best car, the Audi R8taking second, I couldn’t stop screaming. The first thing I did was print the article so I can show my husband the top 10 Favourite Supercars list, and a great comment made by Craig Mailey, Marketing Director, Manheim Auctions. The top 10 Favourite Supercars is:

1. Aston Martin DB9

2. Audi R8

3. Bugatti Veyron

4. Lamborghini Gallardo

5. Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

6. Porsche 911 GT3 RS

7. Ford Mustang (1960-69)

8. Ferrari Testarossa

9. Dodge Viper

10. Ford GT

Craig Mailey, Marketing Director, Manheim Auctions, said: "The Aston Martin DB9 has to be one of the most well-known, best-loved supercars ever made. Synonymous with speed, style and glamour and already slipping into the 'iconic' status, it's little wonder it's been voted favourite in our supercar poll. For those lucky enough to have the budget to afford a supercar, but not a brand new one, we often have second hand Aston Martins and Porsches going under the hammer, especially at our fortnightly prestige auctions at Bruntingthorpe in Leicestershire."
