Rhodes Ranch Golf Club’s approaching Las Vegas golf event, the ‘Halloween Beat The Pro Caddyshack Edition’ two-person scramble, combines three fan favorites: the Caddyshack movie, a round of golf and Halloween. The event has something for everyone including golf, costumes, prizes and food all wrapped up in an all inclusive bundle. The event will be scheduled on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, having a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start and will have General Manager Tate Stull and head pro Shane Sanchez out on the course (in full costume) will players getting to take their best shot to defeat the pro team for prizes. “It’s gaining momentum every year,” Stull stated. “Everyone has a great time. We get maybe 30-40 percent of the people who come out in costume. We may get more this year because it’s a 'Caddyshack’ theme and it’s easier to dress up in those types of costumes.” The actual entry fee includes green fees, cart, range balls, a drink ticket, lunch, prize fund, hole event prizes and optional skins ($10 per team). Cost is $25 for Platinum Members, $60 for Rhodes Ranch homeowners, $65 for E-Club Members and $75 for everyone else including Las Vegas visitors.Rhodes Ranch Golf Coures opened for play in 1997. This Ted Robinson design, one of more than 50 Las Vegas golf courses, plays to 6,909 yards and highlights par 3s the architect has called the best he has ever designed. One of those par 3s, the 227-yard 3rd, will greet players on the right as they enter the property. It’s beautiful to look at and challenging to tackle as four bunkers, a stream and a pond are all situated to make this one amazing golf hole. Add in amazing views of the Vegas valley and the surrounding mountains and a golf course with rich fairways along with true rolling greens and you’ve got the all makings of a golf adventure.“The event is something our employees really get involved in,” Stull said of the Halloween outing. “And the participants really love it. We’ll play some golf, take pictures, have lunch and hand out prizes for the top five scores and the best costume. It’s just a great time.”
