My daughter already got her first birthday party invitation from one of her classmates. She started nursery two weeks ago, she settled in very quickly and made few friends. I was very nervous at the thought of how she would react when she realises I will leave her there alone but she amazed me by how easily she fitted in.

On our way home from school, she was telling about the invitation, who the girl is and what she likes. We were trying to decide on what kind of gift to give her, I suggested a reading book but my daughter had other ideas.

Over dinner that evening, we discussed what to buy as a present for her friend and we both decided on a Princess doll with little accessories to go with it. After I put my daughter to sleep, I called the mother of the girl to find out where the party was. I was told its being held at a community centre opposite the Vauxhall Insignia dealer Maidstone, it’s the big car dealer place so I can’t miss it.

The next day after I dropped my daughter to school, I went shopping to buy the little girl’s present, gift wrap and card.
Luckily I found it, placed the order and it arrived in time for the birthday party. I wrapped the gift, wrote in the card, got my daughter dressed and dropped her off to the party.
