Any exam is stressful for students. This is especially true for the students who are going to face the first-ever major board exam in life! CBSE students are no exceptions. Irrespective of CBSE School students in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai or any other metro or non-metro cities do undergo stressful time before the final exam.
So how do we know whether we are stressed or not? What are the symptoms? Well, you can know from some indications. Like losing touch with friends or not feeling like interacting with them, moodiness or mood swings (feeling low or overwhelmed), trouble in decision making, loss of appetite or even over-eating.
But there are some ways to reduce stress and if followed regularly they will help you score high as well!
1. Time Management: Study, Play, Rest
You need to divide your study time evenly between all the subjects. Make a daily study routine distributing time devoted to each subject. But ensure to follow it rigorously. The time should be allocated to do the revision as well. But be careful to allow sufficient time for recreation too. Yes! You must have a balance between recreation and studies. Whatever they are. Better to pursue some hobby. Be it a little gardening, fish-keeping, playing chess or whatever. Just ensure to have control over it.

Also, ensure that you get proper sleep. And enough of it. This is a must! Because a sleep-deprived brain a) fails to register/recall things learnt b) leads to mood swing or depression or anger/irritation. Surely these are not going to help you in your studies or recall!

2.Practice solving every question-type

You know CBSE questions are designed following NCERT textbooks. But at times you might feel that some questions are out of syllabus though they are not. Therefore, to remain on the safe side, practise different typologies of questions. This will ensure that you can solve even the most complex questions easily. Take help of CBSE questions banks where you will get a chance to drill with a variety of questions from easy to the most difficult ones.

3. Practise from Sample question papers: give Mock exams

Sample test papers are immensely helpful! Practice solving questions of all subjects. Give mock exams with sample test papers. This will not only help you in evaluating your preparation and performance but also will enable you to control your time, understand how much time (or overtime) you are taking in problem-solving, which are your strong and weak areas of each subject, which of the subjects need special care and attention.
These are the tips suggested by past students and teachers of CBSE schools including the IGCSE School in Yelahanka and even the best CBSE/IGCSE schools in other parts of Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and more.
