Essential Oils are not just another health fad. Prestigious Medical Institutions like Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins have all started using and/or recommending Essential Oils.

Here's a basic overview for those of you who are new to the world of Essential Oils.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential Oils are:

• Are naturally occurring, volatile aromatic compounds.
• Are found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plant.
• Protect plants against environmental threats and provide beneficial properties.
• Are highly concentrated when distilled for purity and potency.
• Have been used historically for food preparation, beauty treatment, and healthcare practices.

THREE WAYS TO USE ESSENTIAL OILS

Essential Oils are great for EVERYDAY USE.

You can experience the many benefits of Essential Oils by using them to support overall health. Here are the three ways to use them:

1.AROMATIC

Diffusing - Our sense of smell is 10,000 times higher than any other sense/Benefits of diffusing are fast and they reach the brain/ very effective way to use essential oils.

Essential Oils, when diffused or inhaled, can be very stimulating, calming, or soothing depending on which oils you use..

Diffusing Essential Oils can also cleanse and purify the air.

2.TOPICAL

Essential Oils can be safely applied for massage or topical therapy.

Their chemical structure enables them to pass through skin for an immediate systemic response.

I recommend diluting one drop of Essential Oil in 10 drops of Fractionated Coconut Oil.

3. INTERNAL

Essential Oils can be added to a drink, placed under your tongue, or in a capsule.

NOTE: Only Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Oils with Supplement Facts on the label should be taken internally. If taken in a drink be sure and use a glass or stainless steel container, not plastic.

Essential Oils can be used to address hundreds of health issues. In my next article I'll share the top ten oils which address many of the most common health concerns.
