Both managers and entrepreneur are profit seekers and work to attain as much incentives as they can but the difference is in the magnitude of earning which both can make. In the earlier years an entrepreneur might face hurdles and issues may not be able gain as much return as a manager can but in the long run an entrepreneur surpasses the manager with quite a significant margin.

The basic ideology behind entrepreneurial studies is to encourage a person to innovate, bring new business ideas and find new ways and procedures to conduct businesses. Innovation thus requires a sound observation and ample research so that all aspects of a business are included.

There are four types of innovation which are discussed below further in this article.

1. Invention:
Invention means creating or inventing something totally new that has not been seen before. Examples of invention include the invention of telephone, invention of bulb or television. These are some of the most renowned inventions.

2. Extension:
Extension is the expansion of the existing idea in order to provide a different use of the existing product.

3. Duplication:
Replication of an existing idea with a touch of creativity and innovation.

4. Synthesis:
It is the combination of exiting and new idea.
