“All the women have a wonder woman inside them”
“She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
These words are taken from a famous verse of the Bible which every woman should know. Women walk around daily with a dress of strength and pumps of dignity on. Not only are the women covered in strength, but they are worthy of honor and respect as well.
In the past 50 years, we have seen women grow from strength to strength and they are now playing prominent roles in the society. They are leaders everywhere you look – from the CEO who runs PepsiCo to the homemaker who raises her children and heads her household.
In order to be a successful woman leader today, one needs a lot of courage and determined vision. With the day to day stresses and pressures of life, women need to be energized, supported, motivated and inspired to keep getting better. They are often the unsung heroes. They are Sheroes!
Words can affect your mindset powerfully. Unlike the saying that we all have heard, “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me”, words can really have an impact on how we feel. Words have the power to uplift your energy and your life. At the same time, words can create more barriers to communication that what we can imagine. So, we bring such descriptive words that can bring zeal in your speech and persona. As “Empowered women empower women” the below 5 descriptive and empowering words for women will help the other women to transform and empower themselves which can either unlimit their success or unlock their potential.
Joanne Rowling, better known by her pen name, J.K.Rowling is best known as the author of the Harry Potter fantasy series. The best adjective to describe J.K.Rowling is CREATIVE. She has lived a rag to riches life in which she moved ahead from living on benefits to being the world’s first billionaire author. The first volume of Harry Potter Series was published as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Rowling followed a creative writing process. J.K.Rowling did not write with a particular kind of audience in mind but she wrote the story she wanted to convey. She drew quite a bit of motivation from her childhood, family and experiences. Another guiding factor in her creative process was her failures. In one of her speeches in 2008, she discussed the benefits of failure and how she never would have achieved such great success without all the failures in her life. Without her failures and rejection, the world would never have known about the fantasy world of Hogwarts and Harry Potter. She is indeed a remarkably creative woman.

“Compassion and tolerance are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength.”, Dalai Lama
Malala Yousafzai, a small-town girl from Pakistan is such a sign of strength and there is no better adjective to describe her but COMPASSIONATE. She is a world hero and compassionate warrior for women. Malala motivates us with her fearlessness and captures our hearts with her compassion and humility. She is a voice of hope. At only 18 years old, the education activist has achieved so much in her short life. She went on to become one of the youngest recipients ever of the Nobel Peace Prize at 17. She has become the idol of compassion for all the girls and women around the world. She continues to be a confident speaker for all the women and girls around the world.

There is no better adjective than GENEROUS to describe Sudha Murthy, the chairperson of Infosys Foundation, a non-profit organization. She is one of the richest women in the world and still manages to swear by simplicity. She is an epitome of simplicity and generosity. She always believed in “You are the only trustee of money and it always changes hands. When you are successful, give it back to the society that gave you so much goodwill”. Sudha is always actively involved in social work in the field of education, women empowerment, healthcare, public hygiene etc. She teaches the biggest lesson of life ‘Humanity’ through her generosity and simplicity.

How can we ever forget the dedicated and courageous woman of India, Kalpana Chawla who set a mighty example of being a DETERMINED, confident and an independent woman, having set her eyes on space and she never stopped to follow through with her dream. She was the first Indian woman to go to space. 15 years ago, the world watched in horror as the US space shuttle Columbia disintegrated during re-entry into the Earth’s atmosphere which resulted in the loss of all the seven crew members including Kalpana Chawla. She is fondly remembered as an extraordinary woman, an inspiration and a role-model. As Kalpana always believed and said, “Do something because you really want to do it. If you’re doing it just for the goal and don’t enjoy the path, then I think you’re cheating yourself”, she always worked confidently towards achieving her goals and never gave up on her dreams.

“Failure is an important part of your growth and developing resilience. Don’t be afraid to fail.” As rightly quoted by the former First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017, Michelle Obama, she always firmly believed in having the ability to be RESILIENT as an enormously important trait of our personality that could decide if a woman advances professionally or gets overlooked for career opportunities. When life knocked her down several times, she came back stronger than ever rather than letting failure overcome her and drain her resolve. She always found a way to rise from the ashes. She always ensured that her children, Sasha and Malia, developed resilience from their younger ages.
Michelle is thus indeed an astonishing mix of resilience, joy, grace and sensibility.
