In the world of conference calling, there are many options. Most people are used to Skype and know how to use it. So when the subject matter is important, this is the usually chosen medium.

Skype conference calls are great and usually work. I personally took the option of using them for my tele-classes, until a big one was scheduled, and I was in Africa at the time, and the internet reduced the number of attendees from about 20 to about 4, as they could all hear me, but I had to "hear" them through typed IMs. Lesson learned. So on a wonderful EFT training up-skill course that I took online, I was excited about the prospect of it being on Skype. I could not attend in person and needed the up-skilling to a popular (and rightfully so) form of EFT, Energy EFT from the AMT. If it were me, I would have attempted it on Google Hangout, but having attempted similar things on Google Hangout and found that it is yet to become a household user-friendly thing, I marvelled at the way this course proceeded with Skype, despite many technical challenges. Sandra Hillawi, my chosen trainer, gives these courses regularly on group Skype video conference call, and all goes smoothly. I had prepped my Android with plenty of mobile internet, as I was in Africa finishing off a project before returning home for good in the UK, so the land-line internet connection was very patchy. But we had a good start. Or so I thought. I logged onto my super-duper fast Linux Ubuntu computer, logged onto Skype, logged onto the call... Only to find that Skype does not offer video conference calls on my operating system! So, I went to my Android... Only to find out that Skype does not offer it on Android either! Oh, dear... Luckily, my spouse, an IT specialist, was there and gave me the never-to-be-touched Windows computer, a great honor for the day, the computer that must only be used for IT development work. I happily logged onto Skype, got on the conference call, all was well, but... The other attendee had an old system and could not use Skype conference video call! Oh dear again... But Sandra saved the day.

After trying a few solutions, Sandra remembered there was an old laptop she had not thrown away. She brought it out, loaded the latest Skype on it, and connected to each of the two attendees separately (I was glad there were only two of us, as if God/The Universe knew). Throughout the 3-day training, we had to do exercises as attendees in training between us, and Sandra simply placed the computers in front of each other. She repeated words that were not very clear, so we could both hear each other well, and the three days of training was one of the best courses I have ever taken! We got everything done and some more.

I hope this has given you ideas if you do online EFT courses yourself. I know there are specialist platforms, such as WizIQ, but they also do not run on Linux and are even more complex for the novice to use than Google Hangout, so Skype really is the best option.

I have taken another course after this with Sandra Hillawi, the Trainer's course, and it is a delight to report that even with more attendees, everyone managed to get to a Windows computer, and the training went perfectly.

When there is a will, there is a way!
