No! Spilling milk and stepping over on chillies or lemons does not lead to bad omen.
Any bad or good effects that happen in our life are simply due to our own karmas…

Earlier, I had this wrong belief that spilling milk and stepping over on chillies or lemons is a bad omen, and therefore I always lived in a constant fear that ‘what if this happens to me, what if that happens to me?’ But after reading the book “The Science of Karma”, expounded by Gnani Purush Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, all my fears went away as I gained the right understanding of ‘how karmas work’.

I learnt that it is only if it’s in our karma to suffer pain or loss, that we will have to suffer it, then be it via milk, chillies, lemons or for some other reason! And if it is not in one’s karma, then no matter how many times a person may step onto chillies or lemons, nothing will happen to him. Such is the ‘Science of Karma.’
How are karmas formed and how do they come in to the effect?

Actions are ‘Fruit of Karmas’ and Our Inner ‘Intent’ are the ‘Karmas’
In your past life, say you intended that ‘Engineering is a good line. One should become an Engineer’. Doing so, you sowed the seed of ‘karma’, as a result of which you become an Engineer in this life – that’s the ‘fruit of your karma.’ Now, depending on the circumstances you meet in this life, you may think that I became an Engineer as I was greatly inspired by my Dad, who is a famous engineer in town. But the fact is that Dad is a mere instrument in you becoming an Engineer. The main cause is your own intention that you had in your past life.

Thus, “intentions” are the seed karmas and the following actions are the “fruits” of karma. Therefore, we must be careful that our “intentions” always remain good because we cannot escape the fruits of karma, once the seeds are already been sown in the past life.

If your belief in the last birth was ‘partnership done with friends proves well’, then in this birth you will always tend towards partnering with your friends. Similarly, if you believed that, ‘stepping over chillies and lemons is a bad omen’ then in the next birth you will experience the effects of the same! Therefore, make every effort to remove your wrong beliefs so that you can enjoy your next life!

Don’t Believe in Superstition, Believe in the Real Science
Keeping a faith in superstition is all a wrong belief. But do you know, your very belief that “I am Rahul (you may insert your own name here)” too is a wrong belief! Your name and body do not last forever, but you remain as you are a permanent entity.

Does this make you curious to know ‘who am I?’ what is my permanent identity?
What is our real identity?
The Pure Soul is immortal and that is our real identity - “I am a Pure Soul and I have infinite energy, knowledge and vision!” is the ultimate right knowledge. Once we realize our real identity, we become fearless for the Soul is beyond all good or bad omens; nothing can ever affect our Soul; our Soul is an abode of infinite bliss, no matter what circumstances it is subjected to.
How do we realize our real identity?

In today’s age, we have Akram Vignan, the stepless path to Self-Realization, where Gnani Purush, the Enlightened One, breaks our wrong belief of “I am Rahul” and graces us with the right vision of “I am Pure Soul.”
After Self-Realization, we gradually stop experiencing fears of any kind as all our wrong beliefs begin to leave. With the right understanding that ‘whatever good or bad things happen is due to Rahul’s karmas, and I am only a Pure Soul’, we attain lot of peace and happiness inside.

Presently, Gnani Purush, Pujya Deepakbhai, a committed devotee of Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan imparts Self-Realization to everyone who’s interested to know ‘who am I’, across the world. Pujya Deepakbhai is free from ego, anger, pride, deceit, greed, attachments, and abhorrence. Therefore when you see him, your fears and insecurity too run away!

So go meet him and gain the knowledge of Pure Soul. It will brighten up your life and you will attain permanent peace and happiness as you will now be able to solve your worldly problems with equanimity rather than running around suspiciously in the fear of attracting any bad omen.
Hope you attain Self-Realization soon!

Author's Bio:

Ambalal M. Patel was a civil contractor by profession. In June 1958, spontaneous Self-Realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. From this point on, Ambalal became a Gnani Purush, and the Lord that manifest within him became known as Dada Bhagwan. A Gnani Purush is One who has realized the Self and is able help others do the same. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan used to go from town to town and country-to-country to give satsang (spiritual discourse) and impart the knowledge of the Self, as well as knowledge of harmonious worldly interactions to everyone who came to meet him. This spiritual science, known as Akram Vignan, is the step-less path to Self-realization.
