Chronic constipation is not a topic which is usually discussed with others, even though in reality it is a serious problem that can greatly complicate a person's life. It should be noted that constipation consists not only of your physical and psychological discomfort; it is also a constant self-poisoning with toxins which have accumulated inside the body.

There are many causes of constipation such as diet, habits, heredity, hydration, personality, environmental factors as well as many consequences: visible to the naked eye - a sallow complexion, unhealthy, often inflamed skin, bad breath, etc., and internal - a rapid blockage of the liver, varicose veins, poisoning of the fetus during pregnancy.

This interdependence is reflected in the fact that there are literally hundreds of homeopathic remedies that can bring relief to a person suffering from constipation. Yet only a few individually selected remedies amongst a hundred may help a particular individual.

My secret in choosing the right homeopathic medicine is the recognition that every human disease, in this case, constipation, can manifest itself differently. After all, homeopathy is always an individualized work consisting of treating the whole person, with all his or her problems and sores.

To obtain good results in the homeopathic prescription, in addition to the general characteristics of a person, one needs to identify specific features of his illness.
Thus, sometimes some people feel a strong urge to relieve their bowels but their attempts are unsuccessful. In spite of a very strong urge they either produce very little stool, or they have a feeling of an incomplete emptying of the intestine. Their stool sometimes comes out in small balls, like those of a sheep.

Others have no urges or they are very weak, despite the fact that the stool was not produced for many days or even weeks. Their stool comes out with great difficulty; it can come in part, and then slip back.

Some may feel the inertia of the rectum, their stool does not move, even when it is a very soft stool.

Many experience varying periods of constipation and diarrhea.

The clinical picture of the patient - symptoms and complaints, psychological characteristics, character traits, peculiarities of responses to external stimuli, including weather and food - the indirect evidence to which little or no attention is usually paid, for me as a homeopath becomes a basic manual for action in the process of choosing the right homeopathic remedy for you.

The use of homeopathy can, first of all, treat the causes of constipation, and thus contributes to a natural normalization of bowel function and reduction in the amount of the laxatives taken by a patient.

The choice of homeopathic medicine (one of several thousand!) reflects the skills of a homeopath and his or her ability to understand the patient's personality, and without mutual trust, respect and patience that is impossible.

That is why homeopathy is a joint effort of a homeopath and a patient.

Author's Bio:

As a Doctor of Naturopathy, I believe that optimal well-being is a concept of health that goes beyond the curing of illness to one of achieving wellness. Achieving wellness requires balancing of the various controllable aspects of the whole person. These aspects are physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. The broader holistic approach to health involves the integration of all of these aspects and is an ongoing process.
I try to analyze each individual's health, behavioral and attitudinal profile to help achieve optimal wellness by referring each client to scientific, historical and anecdotal healing principles.
I'm performing wellness consultations regarding diet, homeopathy, nutritional supplementation, botanical medicine, exercise; mind/body imbalances, alternative healing and can refer to other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
The original meaning of the word "doctor" is teacher. A principle objective of naturopathic medicine is to educate the patient and emphasize self-responsibility for health.
