In medical astrology the moon is associated with the digestive system, stomach, breasts, ovaries and uterus, menstruation (which occurs on a monthly cycle), the right eye on the woman and the man left eye , milk, lymph, secretions, mucous membranes. Although allocation of Manilius, the moon is usually associated with the temperament lymphatic ; governing spirit of the animals [ citation needed ] , along with Mercury. It is considered beneficial, nocturnal, feminine, wet and cold.

In Chinese astrology , the Moon represents Yin , the passive and receptive principle of women's lives. In Indian astrology, the Moon is called Chandra or Soma and represents the mind, the queen, and mother. The North Node (called Rahu ) and the South Node (called Ketu ) are considered especially important and are given a place along with the seven classical planets as part of the nine Navagraha . It is also unique in the Indian astrology system 27 (or 28) stations or lunar "mansions" called nakshatra , which is believed to be of great importance in showing the way of life of the individual.
