I love the words vision and division. It teaches you so much. One helps you see, the other helps you divide. Take your eyes for example. You can see the Sun,moon, people, all the objects of the external world through your eyes but these same eyes also stop you from experiencing the feeling of oneness between you and someone else. These eyes help you see the external world but they also stop you from entering into your internal world..... These eyes facilitate division as much as they grant you vision. Today,i have some interesting questions for you in this regard...

How many of you pray with your eyes wide open?

Very few right.

Why do you close your eyes while praying or meditating?

When you close your eyes you try to shut the doors of the external world temporarily and make an attempt to rise above your body and mind. All these might happen subconsciously but it gives you sufficient hint that you dont need your senses to experience the force of God.

You need your eyes to see the external world but to enter into your internal world you need to shut your eyes at least initially.... AS much as you allow your eyes to see the external world you have to train your eyes to also help you get into your internal world more frequently...The internal world can tell you exactly what you want and the external world can help you get all that you want... Unless you enter into your internal world you will never know what you want and you will always be unhappy no matter what you get...

Those beautiful eyes of yours have to learn to see both the external world and your internal world. If you see only the external world you would be watching only the second half of your lifes movie and your views would always be biased . You would be like a child who watches only the second half of the movie and who does not understand why the villain is trashed and beaten for no fault of his. You would have missed the first half of the movie where you see the villain committing all sorts of crimes and atrocities and how the hero of the movie is slowly but surely building his character ,shaping his ambitions and sacrificing his life for that one goal which beckons him.....

You have to train your eyes to see the invisible forces behind your actions as much as you see the visible ones...
