My little son asks me crazy questions but they make a lot of spiritual sense to me. The other night when i was reading the famous Hindu epic 'Mahabharata' to him he very curiously asked me " Appa(Dad) Which school did Krishna(revered Hindu God) go to ? Which company did he work for? " I told him Krishna is God and he doesn't need to go to school and to work.. To this my son replied ,"If Krishna did not go to school why should I go to school......? Appa(dad)If you want me to become God why should i go to school......" The senseless argument went on late into the night...

"Which company did God work for..... Can I head that company so that I can have God working for me. How wonderful it would be.... "For a few minutes I fantasized on these thoughts....

In the famous Hindu epic Mahabharata(a story based on a Sanskrit verse of sibling rivalry ) when war was inevitable between Pandavas(who were only five in number ) and Kauravas(who had thousands by their side) in entered Lord Krishna. He was neutral to both Pandavas and Kauravas.

Lord Krishna entered the Kaurava camp and asked Duruyodhana, chief of Kauravas " What do you need from me to win this battle"

Replied Duruyodhana" I want a thousand elephants, horses, swords, shields and a million people to fight the Pandavas..." Krishna smiled .... "You will get everything what you want my dear child" and he went away to the Pandava camp...

The Pandavas were only five in number fighting for righteousness and truth. " What do you need from me to win this battle" asked Lord Krishna to Yudhishthir, the chief of Pandavas.

Bowing to Lord Krishna ,Yudhishtir replied " We want you O Lord to fight for us. We don't need anything else..."

Five men were pitted against a million men in the Mahabharat war. Who won the war?

Ofcourse the Pandavas who were only five in number won it. They had the force of God which could trounce even a million men. What do you learn from all this.....?

We are fools to bother the Lord with all our petty problems, our desire for day to day comforts just like the Kaurava chief who asked for the elephants, men and weapons..... These things as good as they seem dont help us win the battle of life. We never asked God to work for us. We thought we have to work for him.The force of God was always waiting for your instruction. You never requested this brilliant force to work for you. You always tapped into a lower force which was sufficient to fulfill your ordinary desires.God never stepped into your life because you never allowed him to enter into your dreams. Your dreams were not sky high they were rock bottom... You were fighting a battle which was so timid in nature that no one in the world was interested in .... You lost the main war even before you fought it...

Next time that you meet God ask him to work for you. I promise you he would be excited to do that for you .... Yudhisthir, the Pandava prince was not a fool when he asked God to work for him.... Neither was my son who asked me that crazy question....
