It all makes sense now. I was reading an article on MSNBC.COM which discussed new scientific data supporting the view that political bias effects brain activity. The effect on brain activity actually inhibits our senators and congressman and women from making well thought out and balanced decisions due to political bias. In other word, our current government is mentally incapable of making well thought out rational decisions. Pretty scary I think. But it all makes sense given our nations current global reputation for deceit, greed, laziness and corporate crime. It looks like America is in need of a political purging. Here are some quick facts and ideas to ponder.

Did you know that only one US senator has a child serving in the United States Armed forces? Moreover, less than thirty percent of our current senators served in the armed forces.

Why is it that "We the People" are being led by people who can not relate to the day-to-day stresses of the average citizen. Things like paying bills, getting the kids ready for school, picking up groceries etc. It is because our nation has been slowly taken over by thieves who care little about you, your freedom, or your security and more about their congressional pensions, stock value and special interest kick-backs. But there is hope. Now that science is showing they are mentally incapable of carrying out their duties, perhaps the rest of us average non-political people can get them professional help and remove them from their offices? Then maybe we can get things fixed up and on budget.

It should no longer be about left-right, Democrat-Republican, Liberal-Conservative, but rather about a return to what America was founded on. Our forefathers fought for and died to give rise to a nation for the people and by the people. It is our turn to resurrect their noble cause, not for ourselves, but for our children. Let us again show the world that we the people of this great nation can serve a more noble cause then our personal bank account and stock value. Let's show the world that we can cleanse our leadership of the power mongers and ulterior motive driven thieves and put leaders back into positions of leadership.

How? We need to start right here in our own neighborhoods and communities. Lead by example to the children each day, stay informed, vote and build your communities back up by getting together, working together, and doing it for the good of your fellow man rather than for award, money or prestige. Hold the door open for the person behind you, smile and say thanks. Do for others and expect nothing in return. Appreciate the little things like breathing, walking, sight and taste. Start here first and the rest will follow. We can do this.

This is our America too.
