Can anyone help me understand why we deny we are intuitive beings when the proof is all around us? Each and every single one of us is intuitive, no exceptions. It is your birthright and how you came into this world.

Perhaps you are not sure that it is true for you. Indulge me and take a moment and think about a time when you just knew something without knowing how. What about having a moment of déjà vu? Have you ever met someone and felt like you knew this person from somewhere or sometime before? Ever had a dream that later comes true?

All of these experiences are your intuition communicating with you. It is your friend standing outside your window calling for you to come out and play. It has some wonderful adventures in mind for the two of you.

So what are you going to do? Stay in your house and ignore the call or swing the door wide open, and go outside and play? The choice, every single day, is yours to make.

If you are ready to have some fun, c’mon out and play. This will be easier than you think.

First things first, introduce yourself to your intuition; and remember it knows you even if you think you don’t know it. Try and get a sense of what your intuition feels like by remembering those moments when you knew you got intuitive guidance, even if it was confirmed after the fact.

Tune into those memories and sense them. How did you know what you knew? What did it feel like? Where in your body could you feel it? Was it a flash, a feeling, a knowing, a combination of all?

Now that you have formally met, how do you become friends? The best way I know to jumpstart this relationship is by making a personal commitment to be open and to show up every day. It’s just like any other relationship; it takes two to succeed.

Your task, should you decide to accept it, is to begin to ask for intuitive guidance and look for it throughout your day. Think of it as your “spidey sense” that extra ability that is here to help you successfully navigate your way through life. If you never take it out for a few test runs, how will you know what it is capable of?

Set your intention every morning to be intuitive and check in with yourself every evening to see how well you did. It’s all about focus and when you actively look for intuitive guidance, it accelerates the entire process.

Pay attention to the small messages. Unlike the Hollywood version, intuitive guidance rarely comes with a lot of fanfare. It’s in the random comment of a friend or the song on the radio, all these can be messages of support.

You can have fun with it too by playing guessing games. How many pieces of mail are there today? Who is calling you? (no checking the caller id). See if you can read or sense someone’s mood before they say a word.

Play with a deck of cars guessing which cards are red or black, which are pictures or not. Ask a friend to play with you and take turns trying to send and receive the different colors or numbers to each other.

As you look for your intuitive guidance, keep track of when you get and what it is and of course how accurate it turns out to be. No judgment now, remember you are practicing and playing with possibilities with your new friend.

Stay open and have fun.
