Catch a movie at the AMC theater or sit by the lake and people watch. Just walking around, looking at the storefronts, garden areas, watching dancing fountains, seeing children play and listening to the happy music is enjoyable.

Of course, a marketplace wouldn’t be a marketplace without great shopping opportunities. Just about anything Disney can be found here. Disney Downtown and Marketplace is a day trip for sure. Wear comfortable shoes and anticipate a fun and exciting day. Florida weather can be hot and humid so cool clothes in the summer, a hat or visor, sunscreen and a bottle of water to carry is a good idea. There are several shady spots and all stores are air conditioned for your enjoyment as well as water fountains. Also recommended is a small umbrella or raincoat that can easily be tucked in a backpack or purse as its not unusual for afternoon showers.
