Every holiday has a certain amount of stress with it. There are things to be done, priorities that we have to put on hold until the holiday is over, and things that must be remembered. Any holiday can get quite hectic!

One of the ways we can de-stress is to play a few simple internet games. These games do not take very long to play and the beauty of them is that your mind can relax and forget about problems for a few minutes. Each time you do this during the day, you re-set your body's nervous system, changing it from the fight or flight mode to stress-free mode.

Everyone Likes Superman!

One of the internet games you may be familiar with already was one on Superman. This one was released just before the latest Superman movie hit the box office. In this little internet game, your job is to act like a photographer and snap a snapshot of Superman as he flies through the air over four different cities in the world, including Sydney and London. Superman appears quickly and it takes a little finesse to snatch the photo. You have the opportunity to take six photos and to get your photo on the front page of the newspaper, you need a score of 6/10 on your photo. When one of your photos has a score of 6, it then appears on the front page of the newspaper and you then move on to the next city to snap Superman's photo again.

Unfortunately, for some reason, the Superman Snapshot internet game links are not working at this time.

One can appreciate how much these internet games help us relax. They switch our concentration to the task at hand, giving us a little mini-vacation from work.

St. Patrick's Day Fun

Another little internet game is one that can be found at AmericanGreetings.com called the Leprechaun Toss. This one is perfect for St. Patrick's Day. The goal of this game is to toss the New Year's Eve baby, Santa or the Easter bunny the farthest you can. You win points for the distance of the toss. There's one obstacle: you must start the toss before the running leprechauns get to the dirt bump on their path. To start the toss, you simply click hold your computer mouse. As soon as you click hold the mouse, the meter that shows up on the screen starts climbing up to the green zone. You must release the mouse hold before it gets to the red zone. If the meter goes into the red zone, the Santa, Easter bunny or New Year's baby will be tossed but land on their head. This is not good and you get no points! Your points are tallied after three tosses and you receive the proclaimation that you have the luck of the Irish with a high score. It's a very fun game!

Celebrity Identification Game

Another little internet game, one that is quite popular, is the Celebrity Valentine Game, found on http://www.celebrityvalentinegame.com In this game, you will find celebrity photos. Your job is to recognize them through their disguises. This is sometimes more difficult than what you may imagine! Nevertheless, it brings up the fact that although we are all born with the ability to recognize faces, our skills are only at the level of that of a 5th grader, according to face recognition psychologists. Playing this little game can help!

All three of these internet games will de-stress you! They are fun and do not take much time. I have used them myself when stressed out from work overload to relax before bed. There's nothing better than knowing I identified all the celebrities, snapped some excellent photos of Superman or tossed the Santa far enough to hear that I would be blessed! Simple fun. Simple results.
