I have been educating myself on the law of attraction. Here’s a pretty basic view on this big subject. We as humans are made up of energy, much like the rest of the universe. There are invisible frequencies of energy which attract each other through thoughts, feelings and meditation. Positive feelings and thoughts attract a positive frequency while negative feelings and thoughts attract a negative frequency.

Rhonda Byrne, author of The Secret , compares the frequencies and attractions to television channels. Changing channels results in a new frequency, which results in a new picture. To tie this back to human physical energy, positive thoughts result in positive frequencies which give us a new life picture. Having positive thoughts and feelings will attract those very positive things we wish for in our lives.

Having thousands of thoughts per day, it’s impossible to monitor and control all of them. So feelings become the barometer for which to gauge our frequency. A positive frequency results from good feelings, which are produced by good thoughts. And the same goes for the negative. A negative frequency results from negative feelings which are a product of negative thoughts.
Is it that simple to realize the great outcomes we wish for in our lives? I recommend you be the judge and put the law of attraction to the test.

But don’t forget about the power of persistence! A very important lesson I've learned is that persistence is crucial to success in anything we humans endeavor. Our 30th US President, Calvin Coolidge, believed in persistence. He wrote,
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

In the life of my sales career, I’ve never seen anything more effective to get me out of a slump and back on track than persistence. These days, I’m using both the law of attraction and the power of persistence to realize my goals. I envision my positive outcome and I see it come to fruition. But I never lose sight of the importance of persistence. I’m constantly working toward my outcome while staying tuned into it’s frequency. Are there negative frequencies? Sure, I find myself landing on them. But I can easily catch myself and quickly change the channel.
