Everyone wants to be wealthy, but unfortunately, not everyone is. It is not that difficult to gain wealth, but so many people make excuses for why it is impossible for them to achieve the wealth they want. Creating wealth is not something that can be done overnight, and it takes a lot hard work and perseverance. But, if you just keep on making excuses, you are never going to get anywhere, both in the financial world, and in life. Here are five excuses people make that keep them from becoming wealthy, and how to bust them:

- “It takes money to make money, and I don't have it.” If you don't have enough money to begin building your wealth, find ways to make more. There are plenty of things that you can do to help increase your wealth. Try to get overtime. Take on a part time job. Start your own part time business. The more you earn and learn, the better your chances will be of achieving the wealth you are seeking. Wealth is actually what you have when you have no money, so look at ways of combining your passions with your talents (which will provide value) and then create ways to leverage this value. You will make money as a by-product of this as people will want the value that you are offering. But remember if you are not very passionate or talented at what you are offering then you will not offer much value and therefore not many people will want what you are offering and therefore you will not make nearly as much money as if you were totally passionate and talented at what you are offering. So the secret is to not just do anything, but do what you are passionate and talented at. Make sense?

- “I don't have the time to make more money”. If you truly have a desire to become wealthy, you will find the time to do whatever it takes to do so. Saying you don't have time is simply an excuse to not try. You are effectively saying “wealth is not my priority”. There are always things you can do to make more time in your day, and when you use this time to generate additional income, you will be well on the road to wealth. Are you ready to make wealth your priority?

- “I don't really need to be wealthy.” Rubbish, everyone would choose wealthy over not wealthy any time. This doesn't mean that you have to become some rich old miser, but of course you want to be comfortable and financially stable throughout your life. Okay, so maybe you are getting along just fine, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to do even better, and be able to ensure your financial future, and that of your family?

- “I already make plenty of money at my job.” If you are making good money, great, but if you are just an employee, chances are that you are never going to get rich. Instead, you are working to make someone else rich. Leverage your time, and your efforts, just like your employer does, and see how quickly you start to become wealthier than you ever would have, no matter how much you earn at your job. When you are just an employee, you will never be able to achieve the leverage you need to become wealthy.

- “I don't have a great business idea.” Some of the most successful businesses are not based on original concepts, but by improving on concepts that are already in use. You don't need to come up with something new. Instead, try to build a better mouse trap. This doesn't mean that you should go out and outright steal ideas, but, you can learn from what others are doing, and build on that. Take an idea and make it a better one, and you will be taking a huge step towards achieving wealth.

But remember wealth is what you have when you have no money, so write a list of your passions and talents and start creating products or services around these and your wealth will begin to the flow.
