Do you know exactly what you want in a life partner or soul mate? Ok, I’m not talking tall, dark and handsome…I mean, are you crystal clear on the qualities or values that your partner must have?
Take a moment and imagine receiving ALL those delicious qualities, ALL of them! Feel how wonderful it is to have a relationship like this…it’s Priceless! Go ahead, you are truly accepted, treasured and appreciated for who you are. You are celebrated and respected for how you live your life, and when times are tough, you are held in tender loving arms with compassion, consideration, care, understanding, love and support. Finally, you are embraced in a mutually joyful trust, inviting you to grow and deepen an already wonderful relationship filled with laughter, connection and fun. Can you feel it? Do you really, really want it?
I’m going to share with you how to get exactly what you want, and what’s great about what you will read is that you don’t have to wait. You have the key and maybe you just haven’t recognized it yet. Ready?
YOU are the key! You can receive all these amazing qualities by simply living them within yourself and sharing them with another. There’s a simple 4-step process and you can start on it right away.
The steps are based on the concept that you teach others how to treat you. So, if you are respectful to yourself and respectful to another, you will then be treated with respect. The inverse is also true. If you don’t treat yourself well, and you don’t treat another well, then you won’t be treated well.
Here is how to get started on having your soul mate show up with the qualities that are so precious to you:
Make a list of the qualities that are truly important to you in a partner (e.g. accepting, compassionate, playful, hard-working…)
Look at these exact qualities in the relationship you have with yourself. If ‘acceptance’ is a quality that is very important for the love of your life to possess, take a good look at yourself and ask, “Do I truly accept myself for who I am?”
Now look at the current relationships in your life – with your friend, parent, child, boss, employee, neighbor or someone else. Is there at least one relationship where you truly accept them for who they are? If the answer is no, either to fully accepting yourself or a current relationship, then it’s going to be very difficult to attract a life partner who has this quality.
The qualities that are important to you must be expressed in the way you live. Look at your list and start with the quality that you are most connected to and step it up a notch. How can you grow it even more? Move on to the next quality. How can you give it more fully to yourself and to someone in your life? Celebrate each step and keep moving forward. Work through the list and see what starts happening around you and notice how people are showing up as you grow and change.
When you think about qualities that you truly want in a life partner, don’t you REALLY want this to be mutual? Don’t you really want the essence of your relationship to reflect these qualities in a way that shows you are both contributing and creating a magnificent relationship together?
Remember, the qualities that you want must start with you. Practice embracing these qualities within yourself, practice in a current relationship or two, and pretty soon you will have new people showing up in ways you never imagined. Oh yes, you have imagined…the difference will be, you are living it now and so will the new people you attract!
