As our New Year approaches, we reflect back on 2015. It was a year full of good and bad, one will outweigh the other depending upon who you ask. Some of us have attained our goals while others dare to dream. May the New Year give you the courage and strength to pursue all of your dreams and overcome any obstacles you may face.
We have seen bad people do mean things. We have seen remarkable acts of kindness. We have also seen some of our dearest depart from our world. We have seen Mother Nature destroy what has taken time to build. We have seen politicians in office spew out words when all of life’s vital issues remain the same. We continually receive precious gifts of love while so many suffer alone.
Yes, our new year approaches with all new things in store. As each day draws near it raises our hope for a better tomorrow. We reflect back on some of the people that we met, those we released and some of the decisions we’ve made. But what matters most are the memories we’ve made and the impressions that were left on someone’s heart.
I raise my glass; to all things lost and those not yet found, to new stories and adventures, to lost love and new faith. I pray for things to be restored, remembered and renewed. I pray for peace. I pray for love to fill in the places of ones’ soul where there is an empty space.
Our lands, regardless in what nation, are ours only for a short time. When our time span is over, it is someone else’s turn to enjoy. We teach the next generation how important the land is. We teach them about nature. We teach to those who choose to listen and adhere to the changes that need to take place.
It is almost 2016; we should show favor to no one, we are all the same. Throughout life it appears that so much has been hidden when so much needs to be seen. In the cracks of the earth you will find the homeless, the runaways and the hidden. If you explore these cracks you have to get off the main road and prepare to do some digging. Vow to become involved, only by becoming involved life can begin to change.
I pray that each person becomes aware of all of their strengths and abilities. When one person is lifted, they in turn can lift others. May 2016 be the year in which you seek action for a positive change. With eyes, arms and hearts wide open, we welcome in 2016 with a chance for a new, better life for all.
Lastly, may 2016 become the year that future generations will speak about because of all the positive changes that happened around the globe. So, here’s to new cures for deadly diseases and an end to all things unimaginable. Here’s to a new life in 2016, here’s to growing and humanity growing into one. I wish for you peace, love and prosperity not only in 2016, but always.
