Margaret Altemus, M.D. is director of the Payne Whitney Women's Program at the New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. The Program provides expert evaluations, clinical treatment and reseach opportunities for women with premenstrual mood disorders. Dr. Altemus completed her psychiatric training at Yale University Medical School, and her research training at the National Institute of Mental Health Intramural Research Program. Research studies are funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and non-profit foundations.
